Maintaining Peace on Youth Pledge Day, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Strengthen National Synergy

Jakarta — The momentum of Youth Pledge Day once again reminds us of the importance of maintaining unity amidst social dynamics and the rapid flow of digital information. The government emphasizes that national security and harmony are the primary prerequisites for successful national development.
Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Djamari Chaniago emphasized that maintaining national stability is an important foundation for the success of various strategic programs of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
“Creating a very conducive political and security environment. Of course, we coordinated with several technical ministries and resolved the issue, which is why what is happening now is happening. This is what we are doing together,” said Djamari.
According to him, the safe and controlled situation allows the government to optimally implement major programs, such as the distribution of Free Nutritious Food (MBG) throughout the region and strengthening national food security. He also highlighted the positive trend in economic achievements.
“Economic development is also very promising, with a growth rate of 5.12 percent and stable inflation between 2 and 3 percent,” he explained.
Djamari added that the government has successfully expanded access to education through the People’s School and Garuda School programs, which provide learning opportunities for lower-middle-class communities. He attributed this success to strong political stability and security.
“In fact, we are capable; our political situation is secure and calm. The security situation is also under control,” he stressed.
However, Djamari reminded all parties to remain vigilant and not be complacent.
“Going forward, we will continue to strive to maintain a conducive situation for the success of government programs and to provide a sense of security for the public,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the community and young people’s contributions to maintaining security during the Youth Pledge. “National stability cannot be achieved by the police alone. This is the result of collaborative work between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and all elements of society,” he said.
The National Police Chief also urged the public to be wise in responding to information in the digital space. “Protect the digital space from fake news and hate speech. Don’t give space to those who want to divide the nation,” he stressed.
Similarly, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto emphasized the TNI’s commitment to continue working together with the National Police (Polri) to maintain national security. “Together with the Polri, we are ensuring that the Youth Pledge celebrations run safely, peacefully, and in a spirit of brotherhood. This synergy is clear evidence that national security is born from mutual cooperation between the people and the authorities,” he said.
With strong synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the community, the government is optimistic that this year’s Youth Pledge will be held safely and peacefully, and will reflect the spirit of national unity.
