New Year’s Security Runs Smoothly, Public Activities Under Control

Jakarta – Security for New Year’s celebrations in various regions is proceeding smoothly, with the situation remaining conducive. Public activities are monitored as being under control thanks to the preparedness of the authorities and synergy between agencies.

This situation is inseparable from the coordination between the National Police (Polri), the Ministry of Transportation, and other relevant agencies.

“Thanks to collaboration and synergy, we are all on the ground to ensure that the New Year’s celebrations run smoothly, including our readiness to secure the return flow of traffic, both at ports, on toll roads, and on arterial roads,” said National Police Traffic Corps Chief Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho.

In addition to road access, he also guaranteed the smooth running of activities at tourist destinations. He stated that the state is present to provide security for people on vacation.

“Similarly, for those who are traveling, on vacation, and traveling, the state must be present to ensure that both public order and security (Harkamtibmas) and traffic security (Kamseltibcarlantas) run smoothly,” he explained.

Regarding the performance of the National Police Traffic Corps Chief, Public Policy and Political Analyst, Nasky Putra Tandjung, assessed the Chief’s swift action by going directly to the field to monitor areas that are vital and prone to congestion ahead of the long holiday.

He expressed his appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and synergy and collaboration between the National Police Traffic Corps, Jasa Marga, the Ministry of Transportation, and various other stakeholders, ensuring that the peak homecoming traffic flow during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays ran smoothly, orderly, and conducively.
