Jakarta – In the first year of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s administration, the government has shown a strong commitment to eradicating corruption, drugs, and online gambling—issues that have long plagued Indonesia.

Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), Alexander Sabar, revealed that between October 20, 2024, and March 8, 2025, his office successfully handled over 1.3 million pieces of online gambling content.

Of that number, 1,118,849 pieces were directly related to online gambling, with 1,017,274 originating from websites and IP addresses, and 46,207 from Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

Alexander also confirmed that Komdigi is preparing to fully operate the Monitoring and Analysis System (SAMAN) by October 2025, which will further strengthen surveillance and enforcement against illegal online content, particularly online gambling that disturbs public order.

A similar step has been taken by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Head of the OJK Banking Supervision Executive, Dian Ediana Rae, stated that the authority has requested banks to block over 27,000 bank accounts suspected of being used in online gambling activities—an increase from the 25,912 accounts blocked the previous month. This demonstrates the government’s seriousness in closing financial loopholes exploited by online gambling operators.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Suyudi Ario Seto, emphasized that the fight against drugs is not only a matter of law enforcement but also a public health issue.

To address this, BNN has strengthened collaboration with the Ministry of Health to provide standardized and accessible rehabilitation services as part of a comprehensive approach to tackling drug problems.

At the same time, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Setyo Budiyanto announced the launch of the 2025–2026 Corruption Prevention Action Plan, part of the National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK).

The plan focuses on licensing and trade governance, state finance, law enforcement, and bureaucratic reform—reflecting systematic efforts to prevent corruption across multiple sectors.

Political analyst from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Adi Prayitno, praised President Prabowo Subianto’s firm stance on law enforcement and the large-scale anti-corruption drive initiated early in his administration.

“Corruption cases that were previously untouched are now being investigated, such as the PT Timah case and others. This proves that the effort to establish good and clean governance is being pursued seriously,” he said.

He added that surveys show 75% of the public are satisfied with the government’s current law enforcement efforts.

President Prabowo Subianto firmly stated that no one is above the law, including those with power, money, or influence.

“The government has proven this through decisive actions against major corruption cases worth Rp271 trillion and illegal mining operations that have harmed the state. This boldness is beginning to restore public trust in law enforcement institutions,” he emphasized.

The President also underlined that integrity is the core value in every government policy.

Moreover, the Prabowo administration has strengthened synergy among institutions such as the KPK, Attorney General’s Office, and National Police, to close legal loopholes and accelerate justice enforcement effectively and transparently. The government also aims to enhance interagency coordination so that justice is upheld professionally and free from interference, supported by a technology-based, fast, and reformed legal system.

“With this spirit, Indonesia is stepping toward a clean and sovereign government, where corruption is no longer a culture but a common enemy of the nation,” President Prabowo asserted.

One year after taking office, Prabowo has become a symbol of courage and firmness in upholding justice. From the crackdown on illegal mining to the investigation of major corruption cases, the message is clear: no one is immune to the law.

Under Prabowo’s leadership, Indonesia is moving toward a future where honesty is upheld, law is consistently enforced, and justice truly serves the people. (*)
