JAKARTA — Opening the ISF 2024 Gala Dinner agenda, Indonesian Vice President KH Ma’ruf Amin emphasized the importance of a transition towards sustainable economic development.
The International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 closed its first day with a magnificent Gala Dinner showcasing luxury that combines elegant aesthetics with sustainable values.
The event was specially attended by world figures from various sectors such as state leaders, CEOs of global companies, environmental activists and academics.
The atmosphere of enthusiasm and hope reflects the strong global commitment to advancing the sustainability and climate change agenda.
For the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, it is very important to have a transition towards sustainable economic development.
“The transition to sustainable economic development is an inevitability and a global responsibility that requires close international cooperation,” he said Thursday (5/9) evening.
Therefore, according to him, global regulations and commitments are needed to realize this transition.
“More binding global regulations and commitments are needed in this effort. To that end, we continue to strive to strengthen international cooperation through strategic partnerships and multilateral initiatives,” said the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.
One of the global commitments is through the ISF 2024 forum which allows the birth of various forums from many parties.
“One of them is through today’s forum, which allows world leaders and global experts to discuss and find solutions together,” said KH Ma’ruf Amin.
Moreover, according to him, Indonesia also has a high commitment to play an active role in achieving zero emissions.
“Indonesia as part of the world community has a high commitment to play an active role and contribute to encouraging efforts to mitigate the global crisis through full determination towards the Paris Agreement with the vision of achieving 0 emissions by 2060,” explained the Vice President.
“Strategic steps such as strengthening environmental regulations, renewable energy investment and cooperation in natural resource management at the international level are also being carried out,” he added.
The first day of ISF 2024 closed with a banquet that brought together guests in an atmosphere full of hope for a better future.
