Opening of IAF and HLF MSP 2024 Highlights Urgency of Collaboration Between Stakeholders
Bali – Indonesia held the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024 in Bali from 1-3 September. This event is a strategic platform to strengthen collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society in facing global challenges together.
Director General of Asia Pacific and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I Gede Ngurah Swajaya, emphasized the importance of the role of various stakeholders in achieving significant results from this forum.
“IAF and HLF MSP 2024 are not just diplomatic meetings, but an important momentum to consolidate cross-sector collaboration. Collaboration between the government and the private sector is crucial in overcoming complex development challenges,” said Ngurah Swajaya.
Ngurah Swajaya also said that Indonesia sees this forum as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with African countries, not only in the economic context, but also in terms of technology and infrastructure. He emphasized that synergy between various stakeholders will determine the success of the initiatives discussed during the forum.
Meanwhile, Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, added that HLF MSP 2024 is an important event to formulate innovative solutions to various global challenges. According to Suharso, collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society can create a broader and more sustainable impact.
“In dealing with climate change, social inequality, and other global issues, we need an inclusive and collaborative approach. This HLF MSP is a golden opportunity to build a shared commitment from various stakeholders,” said Suharso.
Suharso also emphasized that strong collaboration between stakeholders will accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals. He hopes that through this forum, strategic agreements can be created that can provide real benefits for people in Indonesia and Africa.
“With the involvement of all parties, we can create more innovative and targeted solutions,” he added.
The IAF and HLF MSP 2024 were attended by delegates from various African countries, high-ranking Indonesian government officials, and representatives from international organizations and the private sector. The forum featured panel discussions, business meetings, and exhibitions showcasing innovations and leading products from participating countries.
