Bali – The 10th World Water Forum (WWF) in Nusa Dua Bali has made Indonesia once again the center of world attention. On that occasion, Indonesia raised a spirit of togetherness and unity among the WWF participating delegates.

Through this World Water Forum, Indonesia is showing its leadership qualities in being responsible for uniting the world to produce various solutions and innovations to overcome global water problems.

Previously, Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded that the sustainability of water resources had become an urgent issue for the world.

“Global water needs are increasing sharply, in line with population and industrial growth. “Meanwhile, the availability of quality and sustainable water is increasingly difficult due to environmental degradation and climate change,” said President Jokowi in Bali.

President Jokowi hopes that the world will work together to encourage efficient and integrated management of water resources, so that water can be managed and utilized for public welfare.

“Indonesia is very proud to host the 10th World Water Forum in Bali in 2024 with the World Water Council (WWC),” he added.

According to President Jokowi, these agendas require a lot of innovation, especially innovative financing involving the government and the private sector, technological innovation to manage food and energy consumption needs, as well as the commitment of all parties to contribute and work together.

Meanwhile, Expert Staff to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for Technology, Industry and the Environment, Endra S Atmawidjaja, revealed that the world’s largest water forum, which was held for the first time in Indonesia, also involved many stakeholders.

“It is an honor for Indonesia to be able to host the 10th WWF. “We want the participants who attend not only to take part in the main forum, but also to experience the different atmosphere of Bali,” said Endra in Bali.

Previously, Loic Fauchon as ISC Co-Chair President of the World Water Council said that Indonesia and the World Water Council were holding this 10th Forum with a dual purpose.

“First, ensuring that water and sanitation is a political priority at all levels, international, national and local. Second, to provide water to several million water-starved people requires a perfect alliance of innovation. “These priorities require political action and solutions,” said Loic Fauchon in Bali.
