Papua – The Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) building was magnificently built and has complete facilities to support the interests, talents and creativity of young people in the Land of Papua.
It is in this building that the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) will later run various programs to contribute to the welfare of the Papuan people. They will collaborate with various parties, develop themselves and continue to be the engine of human resource development for young people in Cendrawasih Earth.
The Secretary of PYCH Papua Province, Vitha Faidiban, expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo and Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) General Pol (Purn) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, MSi, for his support for the construction of the PYCH Building.
“On behalf of PYCH I would like to thank President Jokowi and the Head of BIN, Pak Budi Gunawan. This is a very extraordinary building and it helps us young Papuans to be creative, innovate, make works and do everything we can for the good of the people of the Land of Papua,” said Vitha.
Furthermore, Vitha explained that the PYCH building has rooms for MSME products, training rooms, meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms, rooms that can be used for co-working spaces, technology learning rooms to libraries. There is also a grandstand-shaped room with a capacity of more than 300 people. This room can be used for performances, religious and others.
“This building is also equipped with 100 Mbps internet speed with symmetrical 1:1 upstream downstream bandwidth, which is spread throughout the building. There is also CCTV up to the control room. Next to the main building, there are futsal and basketball courts. PYCH’s head office is also in the building,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Papua Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center, Directorate General of Cipta Karya, Ministry of PUPR, Corneles Sagrim, said the PYCH building adopts the green building concept that utilizes natural energy, such as lighting and wind.
“So, this PYCH building does not need lights during the day. Likewise the dormitory building, without lighting the lights remain bright on all sides because there are lots of windows and ventilation holes,” he said.
The groundbreaking of the PYCH building, continued Sagrim, was carried out by President Jokowi in October 2021. Head of BIN Budi Gunawan also gave a speech during the groundbreaking.
This building is a means of the government to realize the welfare of the people in the Land of Papua. This is in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2020 concerning the Acceleration of Welfare Development in Papua and West Papua Provinces.
