Padang – The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) continues to solidify its role as a key driver of Indonesia’s economic development. This time, Danantara is opening doors to collaborate with academic institutions in order to support the development of a highly skilled national workforce.

Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that Danantara welcomes educational and academic initiatives from universities across the country.

“Danantara is open to collaboration with universities. We want to contribute to the development of Indonesia’s human capital,” said Dony.

He explained that Danantara, which currently oversees 888 state-owned enterprises (SOEs), is not only present for job seekers but also for active students.

The collaboration initiatives include internship programs, faculty internships, and joint curriculum development with universities.

According to Dony, this partnership aligns with the Triple Helix approach, which integrates the strengths of academia, industry (SOEs), and public policy through Danantara.

“New sectors will emerge—particularly in downstream industries—and universities must be ready to respond. We are committed to making Danantara a key engine of national development,” Dony added.

Separately, Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani emphasized the agency’s strategic mandate to promote investment in response to Indonesia’s demographic bonus.

“This is a major challenge for Indonesia—how do we create more jobs? Job creation is a top national priority,” Rosan stressed.

He expressed hope that Danantara would become a global investment magnet, particularly in downstream sectors and infrastructure, helping to generate high-quality employment opportunities for Indonesia’s youth.

Rosan also highlighted that Danantara now manages more than US$900 billion in strategic national assets, reinforcing its role as a leading force for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
