PAPUA – Security conditions in Papua are now increasingly peaceful and conducive. Various regions in Highland Papua, Central Papua, and West Papua demonstrate strong stability thanks to the full support of traditional leaders, tribal chiefs, and youth. This maintained harmony is clear evidence that the Papuan people are committed to supporting development towards a progressive, prosperous, and dignified Papua within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

Yalimo Regency Traditional Leader, Musa Yare, urged the entire community to continue maintaining order and not be easily influenced by divisive issues. He believes that the community is now increasingly aware that security is the main foundation of progress.

“We in Yalimo want to live in peace, we want to see our children go to school and see the future of this region flourish. Therefore, we all agree to maintain peace,” he said in Wamena (November 3, 2025).

Meanwhile, Nicolas Youwe, Head of Kayo Pulau Village, stated that the people of Jayapura now live in a safe and peaceful environment. He believes that cooperation between the government and indigenous communities is growing stronger.

“The people of Jayapura have felt the benefits of development. We want to support the government so that this city becomes even more beautiful, safe, and becomes an example for other regions in Papua,” said Nicolas.

Similar support came from the Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan, who emphasized that security stability is proof of the success of cooperation between the community and the government.

“We must continue to maintain security because West Papua is now safe and peaceful. This is a major asset for economic progress and improving the people’s welfare,” he said in Manokwari.

From among the youth, Suriel Carlos A. Taurui, a youth figure from Tanah Tabi, praised the performance of the Carstensz Peace Operation Task Force, which he said has brought real change to the community. “Young Papuans can now work, study, and be creative without fear. The presence of the authorities makes us even more convinced that peace in Papua is not just a slogan, but a reality,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yerisiam Community Leader Sabena Inggerui expressed her gratitude to the central government for its significant attention to the development of Central Papua. “We see real changes here. Roads are being built, the people’s economy is growing, and a stronger sense of security is growing. We will continue to support government programs to ensure Papua’s continued progress,” she said in Nabire.

The current safe, peaceful, and productive conditions in Papua are a testament to the success of collaboration between the government, security forces, and indigenous communities. Under national leadership that places a strong emphasis on the Land of Papua, the spirit of unity and mutual cooperation continues to strengthen. Papua is now not only a resource-rich region, but also a symbol of brotherhood and new hope for an increasingly advanced and prosperous Eastern Indonesia.
