PPIH Accelerates Distribution of 2025 Hajj Pilgrims’ Nusuk Cards
Jakarta, The 2025 Hajj Pilgrimage Organizing Committee (PPIH) continues to accelerate the distribution of Nusuk Cards to all Indonesian hajj pilgrims. The nusuk card is an official identity that must be owned by every pilgrim as part of the Saudi Arabian hajj service digitalization system. Through this card, all pilgrim activities, from movement, access to facilities, to health services can be integrated and monitored digitally by local authorities.
Head of the Makkah Working Area, Ali Machzumi said that PPIH Saudi Arabia continues to coordinate and communicate intensively with all Islamic banks to accelerate the distribution of pilgrims’ Nusuk cards. Until now, there are still Indonesian prospective hajj pilgrims who have not received their Nusuk cards. His party has reminded the Islamic banks to accelerate the distribution of pilgrims’ Nusuk cards.
“Indeed, some hajj pilgrims who departed from Medina in Mecca City still have not received their Nusuk cards. PPIH Saudi Arabia is conducting intensive communication and always reminding the sharia to immediately distribute the Nusuk cards to hajj pilgrims who have arrived in Mecca City,” explained Ali.
Meanwhile, the Hajj Consul at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, Nasrullah Jasam said that his party is targeting all nusuk cards to be received by pilgrims a maximum of one week before the first group departs.
“We ensure that no pilgrims are left behind in the distribution. This card is vital, because it is a requirement for access to important services in Mecca and Medina, including hotels, bus transportation, and catering,” he said.
PPIH is working with the Ministry of Communication and Information and Dukcapil to ensure the accuracy of the data and the card printing process. In some areas, distribution is carried out directly at the embarkation, while in other areas, cards are sent through the district/city Ministry of Religious Affairs office or registered postal services. For elderly and disabled pilgrims, regional hajj officers will come directly to their homes.
On the other hand, the Head of the Ministry of Religion’s Monitoring and Evaluation Team, Saiful Mujab explained that his party has opened a quick complaint service for pilgrims who have not received their nusuk cards through the Pusaka application and 24-hour call center service.
“Pilgrims can submit complaints through the Pusaka application or the call center that we have on standby for 24 hours,” said Saiful.
The Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia together with the Regional PPIH stated that the distribution of nusuk cards has reached more than 70% of the total number of prospective Indonesian hajj pilgrims, which is around 241,000 people. This acceleration effort was carried out following the request of the Saudi Arabian Government for all pilgrims from various countries to activate their nusuk cards before leaving for the Holy Land.
This acceleration step is part of the Indonesian Government’s commitment to providing the best service for hajj pilgrims, as well as demonstrating the readiness of the national system in supporting the digitalization of hajj as mandated by the Saudi Arabian Government through the Nusuk platform.
