Prabowo Fulfills Political Promises, Boosting Public Trust with MBG and Kopdes Programs

Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has demonstrated his commitment to the people. Following the massive implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, two other flagship programs, the People’s School and the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes), have also been launched. All three are believed to further strengthen Prabowo’s position and popularity with the public.
According to the latest data from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), as of early July 2025, MBG beneficiaries had reached nearly 7 million people.
“That’s more than the population of Singapore,” said BGN Special Staff, Redy Hendra Gunawan.
The number of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) continues to increase. Currently, there are 1,873 active SPPG units, with the target of reaching 2,200 within the next week. With the increase in SPPGs, the reach of the MBG program will expand, ensuring that more Indonesian children receive adequate nutrition.
Two new pro-people programs were also implemented. The People’s School, which officially launched on Monday (July 14), is a free education initiative under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Affairs, aimed at children from low-income families. Meanwhile, the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes) was officially launched by President Prabowo on July 19, 2025.
According to Cooperatives Minister Budi Arie, more than 80,000 Kopdes units have been formed through Special Village Deliberations (Musdesus), and it is targeted that all of them will be operational by next October.
The Executive Director of the Indonesian Political House, Fernando Emas, assessed that the realization of these three programs was a key factor in increasing public trust in the President.
“Prabowo’s popularity is at its peak. Now, perceptions of his leadership are also growing stronger. His electability is rising, and his reputation is shining,” he said.
Fernando emphasized that MBG, People’s School, Red and White Village Cooperative, and upcoming programs such as the Free Health Check (CKG) show that Prabowo is not just making promises, but actually making them come true.
“MBG ensures children’s nutrition, addresses stunting, and improves human resource quality. People’s Schools bridge the educational gap, while Kopdes provides a concrete solution to empowering village economies and combating the clutches of loan sharks and online loans,” he explained.
According to Fernando, if the program is implemented on target, the community will feel direct benefits in terms of food, education, and the economy.
“If this continues consistently, not only will Prabowo be loved, but also his supporting parties, especially Gerindra,” he added.
On the other hand, ICRC Executive Director, Hadi Suprapto reminded all ministers to work in line with the president’s vision.
“The President’s positive image must be maintained through the performance of his cabinet aides,” he stressed.
Gerindra politician Sudarto emphasized that these programs are not merely political strategies, but rather part of a broader vision for nation-building. He stated that Prabowo had championed these ideas long before he became president, even reflecting them in his books and ideas.
“Mr. Prabowo is starting to realize his campaign promises one by one. The common people are starting to feel the benefits directly,” Sudarto concluded.
