Jakarta – President-elect Prabowo Subianto has demonstrated a clear and firm vision in directing Indonesia’s future. Prabowo believes that with proper management, Indonesia’s natural resources can become the backbone of people’s welfare, while also eliminating economic inequality and poverty. The programs designed are not only aimed at improving the economy, but also strengthening social justice and creating a better life for all Indonesians.

“Indonesia’s natural wealth must be enjoyed by all people, not just a handful of people,” Prabowo emphasized in one of his statements. He is also committed to eradicating poverty and corruption which he said are the main obstacles to people’s welfare. Through downstreaming, added value from natural resources can be created domestically, opening up jobs, and increasing state revenues.

In addition, Prabowo emphasized the importance of improving public nutrition, especially children. “Our children must eat nutritious food every day. For that, we need good cooperation so that our people can live more prosperously, more fairly, and free from poverty,” he said. He emphasized that equalizing welfare must be a top priority, and there must be no more poverty on Indonesian soil.

MPR RI Chairman Bambang Soesatyo gave his full support to the downstream program planned by Prabowo Subianto. According to him, this program is very strategic in maximizing the potential of Indonesia’s natural resources.

“The industrial downstreaming strategy has resulted in a significant increase in investment in the non-oil and gas processing sector in the last decade,” said Bambang. He added that this program not only increases economic added value, but also creates jobs and supports the growth of the national industry. Bambang is optimistic that the continuation of the downstreaming program will be the key to driving Indonesia to become a developed country.

In addition to the economy, Prabowo also has great attention to the health sector. The Prabowo-Gibran government has prepared a budget of around Rp 5 trillion for a free health check-up program, including tuberculosis (TB) tests for at least 52 million Indonesians. This program is considered very important, especially in improving the quality of life of the community as a whole.

Dede Nasrullah, a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya, appreciated the plan. “If this program is implemented well, there will be a significant impact on public health. This is proof that the government supports and prioritizes public health,” said Dede.

With various flagship programs that include industrial downstreaming and improving public health, Prabowo Subianto is determined to bring Indonesia towards a better future. Optimism towards this new government is high, because these programs answer the basic needs of the people and can significantly reduce poverty. The sustainability of downstreaming and improving people’s welfare is expected to create a more prosperous, just, and prosperous Indonesia for all its citizens.
