President Jokowi Inaugurates AMANAH Building: Symbol of Innovation and Creativity of Aceh’s Youth
Ladong, Aceh Besar – President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul dan Hebat (AMANAH) Building located in Ladong, Aceh Besar Regency, an important step to support the development of the creative economy in Indonesia. This inauguration confirms the government’s commitment to providing adequate facilities for innovation and creativity of the young generation in Aceh, which is expected to be a driver of local and even national economic growth.
In his speech, President Jokowi expressed his pride in the establishment of the AMANAH Building, which was designed as a center for creative activities for Acehnese youth. “Today I am truly amazed by the innovation, the creativity of young people in Aceh who I see are very creative and innovative, whether in fashion, especially Muslim fashion, design, it is truly very classy, in my opinion very classy,” he said.
President Jokowi also emphasized the quality of the products produced, “Everything is extraordinary, indeed anything given to young people will definitely turn out great. The packaging is also very classy.” According to President Jokowi, by utilizing the potential in Aceh, the community can obtain extraordinary economic added value.
President Jokowi also emphasized the importance of consistency in honing creativity, “The leap is not less, it’s just how to consistently polish and hone it so that new innovations emerge in Aceh Province. I really appreciate the initiative from BIN (State Intelligence Agency) which has prepared this, and we hope that in all Provinces there will be Creative Hubs like this.” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), Police General (ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Sc., Ph.D., who also initiated the establishment of the AMANAH Building, also appreciated President Jokowi. He emphasized that AMANAH is a symbol of the President’s love for the young generation of Indonesia. “The construction of AMANAH shows President Joko Widodo’s love for the young people of Indonesia, from the eastern tip to the western tip of Indonesia,” he said.
Budi Gunawan emphasized that this building is not only a creative medium, but also functions as a center for local product development. “We should all be proud. The products produced by AMANAH have competitive advantages, especially Aceh patchouli products which are known as one of the best in the world,” he added. Aceh patchouli, which is used by major international perfume manufacturers, is one of the leading commodities marketed directly to France, the world’s perfume center.
The AMANAH building is equipped with various modern facilities that support various creative sectors, including digital content, music, audio production, and robotics. One of its leading facilities is the Packaging House, which functions as a packaging design development center for local Acehnese products. Innovation in packaging is expected to increase the competitiveness of Acehnese products in the international market.
The momentum of this inauguration is considered very historic for the young people of Aceh. They have a rare opportunity to interact directly with President Jokowi, who has been an inspirational figure for many people. “AMANAH is a home for the children of Indonesia. All the progress made by the young people of Aceh is the fruit of success that can be obtained as charity from the President,” explained Budi Gunawan.
Budi Gunawan emphasized the importance of continuing the AMANAH Program to ensure that the potential of Aceh’s youth can continue to develop. “Therefore, this AMANAH Program must continue to ensure that the potential of Aceh’s youth can continue to develop,” he concluded.
