Education has always been the main foundation of a nation’s progress. However, in the hands of President Prabowo Subianto, education is no longer just a pillar, but the main engine that drives Indonesia’s historical leap towards a golden future. Since the beginning of his term, Prabowo immediately stepped on the gas with a strategy he called the Fastest Best Results Program, a revolutionary approach to national education development.
The Fastest Best Results Program initiated by President Prabowo has proven to have a real impact in a short time while maintaining high quality education, proving that the government has the most appropriate strategy in responding to future challenges. Prabowo believes that education is about the future and national resilience. Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. So, there is no time to delay or run half-hearted programs.
In his inaugural speech at the commemoration of National Education Day on May 2, 2025, Prabowo said that education must be the breaker of the chain of poverty and backwardness. President Prabowo showed great concern for the condition of educational infrastructure, and with high commitment, he ensured that the repair of thousands of schools would be accelerated so that in a short time all Indonesian students could enjoy decent and quality learning facilities. This is clearly unacceptable. Therefore, he emphasized that educational transformation must be carried out immediately, in a fast and comprehensive manner.
Concrete steps were immediately taken. In the first hundred days of his administration, Prabowo and his team developed a comprehensive strategy that included revitalizing the curriculum to be more relevant to the needs of the times, including technology, entrepreneurship, and ecology. School digitalization was accelerated by providing fast internet access to all regions and developing an integrated online learning platform. The Prabowo Scholarship Program was launched to help students from underprivileged families obtain the best education, both domestically and abroad. The government also began building vocational schools designed to produce ready-to-use workers for national and global industries. At the same time, teacher welfare became a priority with the acceleration of certification and additional incentives for teachers serving in 3T areas.
Prabowo’s political promise regarding free, quality education is now starting to be realized. The government is building a network of Excellent State Schools that are not only free of charge but also have modern facilities such as laboratories, digital libraries, and superior teaching staff. This is a real form of commitment that free education should not mean cheap or just a formality. These leading schools are targeted to become role models for other schools, both public and private, in terms of quality and management.
As a form of appreciation for teachers, the government launched the Global Internship Teacher program. Through this program, the best teachers from all over Indonesia are sent to study directly in countries that have superior education systems such as Finland, Japan, and South Korea. They will bring home innovative teaching experiences and methods that can be applied in their respective schools. In addition, collaboration with foreign universities is starting to be opened more widely to strengthen the competence of teachers and lecturers in various fields.
In an effort to improve education infrastructure, Prabowo collaborated with the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti, to launch a program to build and renovate more than ten thousand schools throughout Indonesia. The launch of this program was carried out at SDN Cimahpar 5, Bogor, as a symbol of the beginning of a new era of equalizing education facilities from cities to remote areas. Abdul Mu’ti said that the physical development carried out by the government together with the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education is an extraordinary step to produce great teachers, adaptive curriculum, and inspiring learning environments that will make Indonesia a role model for the education system in Asia.
Technology is also a main pillar in this acceleration. The government has launched a national platform called EduNusantara, which is a center for integrated digital education services. Through this application, students from all over the country can access teaching materials, discuss with teachers, and complete assignments in one integrated system. In fact, artificial intelligence technology has begun to be used to map individual student learning difficulties so that teachers can adjust their teaching approaches in a more personal and targeted manner. EduNusantara is also equipped with a parent reporting system, which makes family involvement in children’s education more active.
In addition to building academic intelligence, Prabowo also emphasized the importance of character formation. Moral lessons, history of thenational finance, and national defense are revived. At the university level, students are now involved in the National Defense Campus program which invites them to directly dive into real projects such as village revitalization, food security training, and environmental conservation. The government encourages students to become real agents of change, not just thinkers, but also development actors.
This entire strategy is a manifestation of the philosophy that education cannot stand alone. Therefore, Prabowo encourages cross-ministerial collaboration so that education is integrated with the national economy, defense, environment, and digitalization sectors. With a fast, precise, and comprehensive approach, the government wants to ensure that Indonesian children grow into future leaders, technocrats, scientists, and innovators.
Indonesia looks to 2045 with great hope. Under Prabowo’s leadership, education is no longer just a constitutional mandate, but the main weapon towards national glory. And that big leap has now begun, not in promises, but in real work that is felt directly by the people. With a strong foundation and rapid movement, the transformation of national education is now not just a discourse, but a shining reality.
