Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring prosperity is enjoyed equally by all Indonesians. This message was delivered in his State Address at the 2025 Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the Nusantara Building in Jakarta on Friday (August 15, 2025). He was addressed to members of the MPR, DPR, and DPD. The presence of state institution leaders symbolized the importance of synergy in implementing the national development agenda.

“It’s not good for the nation if only we prosper while many people live in poverty. We must ensure that all citizens experience prosperity,” said President Prabowo.

President Prabowo outlined the achievements of the first 299 days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, including economic growth of 5.12 percent in the second quarter of 2025. Investment growth in the first half of 2025 reached Rp942 trillion, a 13.6 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year. These achievements reflect the business world’s confidence in the stability of the national economy.

“This increase in investment can absorb up to 1.2 million workers,” President Prabowo emphasized.

In the area of poverty alleviation, the government launched the National Socioeconomic Single Data (DTSEN) to ensure that social assistance is properly targeted. Priority programs such as the construction of 100 Public Schools, which will be expanded to 300, three million subsidized houses, and the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program are already underway. These measures are expected to accelerate improvements in the quality of life for underprivileged communities.

“The Free Nutritious Meal Program has been running well. Besides fulfilling the nutritional needs of children and mothers, it has also created new jobs in various regions,” said President Prabowo.

The President also highlighted the national food surplus that has enabled Indonesia to resume rice exports. National rice production is in surplus, with reserves exceeding four million tons. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the nation’s food history.

“For the first time in 60 years, Indonesia is exporting rice again,” said President Prabowo.

The government has successfully diverted Rp 300 trillion from official travel budgets to programs that benefit the public more. This policy reflects budget efficiency and a focus on public needs. This step is considered appropriate for accelerating equitable distribution of prosperity.

“These funds are now being used for programs that truly benefit the people,” President Prabowo added.

In foreign policy, Indonesia officially became a member of BRICS and consistently defended Palestine in international forums. This membership expanded Indonesia’s role in global cooperation. This stance in defense of Palestine underscores the consistency of Indonesia’s foreign policy.

“We will always be at the forefront of fighting for justice and freedom for the Palestinian people,” President Prabowo emphasized.

Closing his speech, the President called on all elements of the nation to build Indonesia together to achieve the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045. This call was delivered as a message of national unity. All achievements of his 299-day administration are considered a strong foundation for the nation’s progress.

“With the unity of all elements of the nation—the government, the business world, and the people—we will build a more just, prosperous, and sovereign Indonesia,” concluded President Prabowo.
