Jakarta – The Government of the Republic of Indonesia is accelerating the appointment of State Civil Apparatus Candidates (CASN) for the 2024 formation. This policy is considered a concrete step to strengthen public services and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of bureaucracy in various government sectors.
Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg), Prasetyo Hadi, stated that the acceleration of CASN appointments was a direct directive from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto.
“CASN appointments are accelerated, namely for CPNS to be completed no later than June 2025. While all PPPK are targeted to be completed no later than October 2025,” said Prasetyo in Jakarta.
Furthermore, Prasetyo said that President Prabowo firmly directed that the ASN appointment process be carried out carefully and still pay attention to the principles of meritocracy.
“The President emphasized that the ASN appointment process is carried out to ensure that the needs of public services are met optimally and provide the greatest possible benefits,” explained Prasetyo.
He added that this acceleration is not just an administrative formality, but a real step to create a government that is more responsive to the needs of the community.
Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), Rini Widyantini previously stated that the acceleration of CASN appointments requires caution and mature data alignment.
This is necessary so that the appointment process runs smoothly and does not cause problems in the future.
“The adjustment of the 2024 CASN appointment schedule was carried out based on a joint decision by the government and Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives at a hearing on Wednesday, March 5, 2025,” said Rini.
She emphasized that the government continues to adhere to the principle of caution in preparing the appointment schedule, including ensuring the availability of adequate budget in each government agency.
Rini also explained that the simultaneous appointment of CPNS will be carried out on October 1, 2025, while the appointment of government employees with work agreements (PPPK) in the first and second stages is scheduled for March 1, 2026.
“We want to ensure that all CASN who have passed the selection can start their duties simultaneously, so that there is no inequality in the implementation of their duties,” she added.
Deputy for Human Resources of the Ministry of PANRB, Aba Subagja, stated that the government is trying to avoid inequality in appointments and ensure that all CASN can work at the same time.
“So, they will work at the same time. So, simultaneously,” said Aba.
According to him, this approach is not only to speed up the administrative process, but also to create synergy between employees in carrying out public service tasks.
