President Prabowo Firmly Eradicates Corruption, Prepares a Clean Future for the Younger Generation
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed his commitment to eradicate corruption down to its roots. He ordered all law enforcement officials not to hesitate in thoroughly investigating every corruption case without exception.
“We are determined that no corruption case will go uninvestigated, there will be no more untouchables, no one is untouchable anymore. I thank the steadfast law enforcers who continue this noble task,” President Prabowo emphasized in Jakarta on October 20.
The President mentioned that the government has successfully redirected Rp306 trillion in budgets that were previously vulnerable to corruption to fund various people’s programs. He also praised law enforcement officials for saving the state from potential losses exceeding Rp1,000 trillion.
“More than 4 million hectares of oil palm plantations in forest areas that violated the law have been reclaimed by the people, by the state,” he said.
This firm step, according to Prabowo, is concrete proof of the government’s commitment to building clean governance that prioritizes the people. He reminded all government officials to be cautious in managing public funds, especially for community welfare programs.
“There should be no mercy for corruptors. Those who need mercy are the Indonesian people. I don’t mind being hated, as long as my people are not hated,” he asserted.
At the National University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI) in Bandung, President Prabowo also called on the younger generation to be part of the fight against corruption. He stressed that the future of the nation lies in the hands of honest, brave, and integrity-driven youth.
Regarding this, Legal and Development Expert Hardjuno Wiwoho assessed that President Prabowo’s action marks an important momentum in proving the government’s seriousness in combating corruption.
“The President’s statement is clear, the direction is clear, and we must support it. The President must continuously prove, every day, that what he says will become the reality for the Indonesian people — a country free of corruption,” he said.
With decisive actions and moral messages to the younger generation, the Prabowo administration emphasizes that the war against corruption is not just a legal matter but also a legacy of values for the nation’s future.
