President Prabowo Guarantees Danantara Will Attract Investment and Expand Job Opportunities
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the Indonesian Investment Management Agency (Danantara) is creating millions of quality jobs by accelerating investment and downstreaming natural resources and other strategic sectors.
“Danantara is an investment management institution with assets under management exceeding US$1 trillion. This institution exists to promote national economic development while creating job opportunities for the wider community,” said President Prabowo at the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD).
President Prabowo added that Danantara will create millions of quality jobs, especially in the downstream sector.
“The formation of Danantara is not just an investment strategy, but a real effort to strengthen the domestic economy and create job opportunities throughout Indonesia,” he added.
President Prabowo emphasized the importance of synergy between Danantara, state-owned enterprises, and local governments to ensure equitable distribution of employment opportunities across all regions.
“This effort is expected to encourage economic growth and public welfare while strengthening national resilience,” he said.
The President also emphasized that Danantara’s success will encourage the growth of downstream industries that can increase the added value of domestic products and open up new business opportunities in various sectors.
Furthermore, the President stated that Danantara’s presence is not only focused on big cities, but also provides real benefits to communities in the regions.
“With Danantara, strategic investments will reach areas that have previously received little attention, creating jobs and strengthening the local economy,” he said.
The President emphasized that this program is in line with the government’s vision of developing Indonesia from the periphery, ensuring equitable development and job opportunities throughout the country.
With Danantara’s presence, the government hopes that accelerating the downstreaming of strategic industries will attract investment, create job opportunities, and deliver tangible benefits to the wider community.
“Danantara is a concrete step by the government to build an inclusive and sustainable economy,” concluded President Prabowo.
Danantara was officially established in February 2025. Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani stated that the institution manages 844 state-owned companies and their subsidiaries as part of a sovereign wealth fund (SWF). Rosan believes Danantara’s presence comes amid rising global geopolitical tensions.
“Danantara is here at a time when the world is reminded of the importance of domestic economic strength,” he said.
