Aceh – The AMANAH Aceh Program in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Student Association of Jabal Ghafur University (UNIGHA) Sigli successfully held a seminar with the theme “Agriculture-Based MSMEs” at the Pidie Regency Agriculture Service Hall on Sunday, September 22, 2024. This event aims to enrich insight and motivate the younger generation to enter the entrepreneurial sector, especially in the agricultural sector.

Reza Saputra, Head of the UNIGHA Animal Husbandry Student Association, explained that the seminar carried the theme “Raise Spirit, Create Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Agriculture,” which was designed to provide an understanding of the importance of innovation in agricultural businesses. “We hope that through this seminar, the younger generation will be more interested in developing businesses in agriculture, because the potential in Aceh is very large and needs to be utilized properly,” said Reza.

The event featured three expert speakers in their respective fields: Teuku Hafni, Sub Coordinator of Crop and Food Production of the Pidie Agriculture Service, Boihaqi, CEO of Naturzayt Therapy Oil, and Novan Fahrizal, owner of Sahabat Madu. In his presentation, Novan Fahrizal emphasized the importance of a pioneering mentality in the business world. “Don’t be afraid to start a business, because the bitter and sweet are part of the journey that will make us stronger,” he said.

Teuku Hafni also gave his views on the great potential of the agricultural sector in Indonesia. “The young generation must be able to turn challenges into opportunities for a better future,” Hafni explained. He explained three important steps in agriculture: providing production facilities, implementing cultivation technology, and processing agricultural products.

Meanwhile, Boihaqi shared effective marketing strategies for MSMEs. “Packaging innovation and online promotion are the keys to winning market competition,” he said.

In addition to Pidie, the AMANAH program is also collaborating with the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Law in Bireuen Regency, holding a seminar on the theme “Generation Z Innovation and Entrepreneurship” on Monday, September 23, 2024. This seminar is expected to spur innovation among the younger generation in the digital era.

This seminar aims to inspire and empower the younger generation, especially students and pupils, in developing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era. Participants gain insight into strategies for starting and developing MSMEs, utilizing social media for marketing, and tips for managing business finances.

The event closed with an interactive discussion and Q&A session, where participants could consult directly with expert speakers. This seminar is expected to be the first step for the birth of innovative young entrepreneurs, especially in Bireuen Regency.
