Jakarta – The Free School Health Check (CKG) program was officially launched simultaneously by the government on Monday, August 4, 2025, in 12 schools across various regions. This initiative marks the expansion of free healthcare services, now targeting students as part of a broader national health system transformation.

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Senior Expert Staff Adita Irawati stated that the program is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s grand vision to strengthen human capital development from an early age.

“CKG Sekolah is a long-term investment in children’s and adolescents’ health,” Adita said on Sunday, August 3.

The government aims to reach 53.8 million students from 282,000 educational institutions through the program, including elementary, junior high, and senior high schools, madrasahs, and community schools (Sekolah Rakyat). This launch is part of President Prabowo Subianto’s Quick High-Impact Programs, which prioritize promotive and preventive approaches in healthcare.

Since its initial launch on February 10, 2025, the broader CKG program has reached more than 16 million people. Through CKG Sekolah, the government is intensifying efforts to reach children within the education system to enable regular early detection of potential illnesses.

Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi emphasized that this program also aims to change public habits regarding health check-ups.

“Even when healthy, people are encouraged to visit health facilities and get checked for free—to prevent future health issues before it’s too late,” Hasan stated.

He added that students are a highly strategic group to reach, given the importance of instilling healthy lifestyle habits from a young age.

“We hope our children can be screened early for potential health issues that could lead to more serious problems in the future,” Hasan added.

This nationwide launch underscores the government’s strong commitment to making health check-ups a routine practice integrated into the educational system.
