Security Forces Collaboration Prepares Maximum Security for ISF Jakarta
Jakarta – Indonesia will hold the 2024 International Sustainability Forum (ISF) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Central Jakarta on 5-6 September 2024. Ahead of the big event of ISF 2024, collaboration between the Security Forces (Apkam) and various related parties has begun intensive preparations to ensure maximum security.
Due to the visit of Pope Francis to Indonesia on September 3-6, 2024, Operation Tribata Jaya will last for six days, from September 2 to 7, 2024. Where, in addition to securing the Pope’s visit, this operation will also ensure the smooth running of the 2024 International Sustainability Forum (ISF) held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
Brigadier General of Police Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Indonesian Police Public Relations Division, stated that the personnel involved consisted of 1,077 personnel from the Indonesian Police Headquarters and 3,443 personnel from the Metro Jaya Police.
“For every series of activities, whether before, during, or after the activity, the Police will secure the visit or arrival,” said Trunoyudo.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), Dwikorita Karnawati highlighted the importance of BMKG’s role in providing accurate weather information to support the smooth running of the international sustainability forum event to be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), positive weather predictions are expected to support smooth and safe implementation activities.
“Based on our data on that date, the weather is sunny to sunny cloudy, although there will be anomalies that could change,” said Dwikorita in an ISF coordination meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.
As an anticipatory effort to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely, BMKG will prepare a Weather Modification Operation.
“We are ready to fully support, and if there is an opportunity, we invite related parties to visit the BMKG headquarters, where we will show complete and accurate data,” he said.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that ISF 2024 includes five main pillars needed to achieve sustainable development.
“The five main pillars needed to achieve sustainable development are energy transition, green industry, biodiversity and nature conservation, sustainable living, and the blue economy,” he explained.
This forum also covers the main drivers of sustainable development in the financial & non-financial fields covering Green Finance & Carbon Pricing, Technology, human resources, and international policies & collaborations, which is expected to be the largest sustainability conference in Indonesia and the world, will bring together policy makers, experts, and investors from all over the world to discuss various important issues related to sustainability and the green economy.
