Aceh- The AMANAH program initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) continues to show its contribution in developing the talents of Aceh’s young people, especially in efforts to improve the regional economy. This program has been running for one year with various activities designed to form competitive human resources (HR), especially among young people.

According to Almer, a young Acehnese entrepreneur, the AMANAH program is very different from programs usually implemented by the government. “The target of this program is absolutely right, by presenting top class speakers in their fields so that Acehnese young people can learn directly from experts,” said Almer. This program not only provides training, but also provides supporting facilities, such as production houses that meet BPOM standards, so that MSMEs in Aceh can be more competitive in the national market.

Almer added that the AMANAH program is very important for human resource development in Aceh, considering the gap in the quality of human resources in various districts/cities. “Aceh is a destination area, not a transit area, so positive intervention from the central government in the form of the AMANAH program is really needed to accelerate the growth of the creative economy in Aceh,” he explained.

However, Almer also acknowledged that there are still challenges to be faced, especially in terms of equal distribution of the benefits of this program throughout Aceh. He hopes that AMANAH can reach more remote areas by forming clusters at several points in this province. “Aceh’s potential is very large, and by equalizing the program, we can accelerate economic growth in all regions,” he added.

One of the keys to the success of the AMANAH program is good management. The importance of comprehensive and inclusive management so that all groups feel involved and can join this program. Apart from that, he also suggested that AMANAH focus on product standards, certification and self-improvement for young entrepreneurs. “It’s not only the product that has to be improved, but also ourselves as entrepreneurs, how do we prepare ourselves to face a wider market,” he said.

It is hoped that the AMANAH program will continue to develop and provide wider benefits for Acehnese youth, encouraging them to actively participate in existing activities. In this way, it is hoped that Aceh’s economy will continue to grow and contribute to boosting the national economy.
