Jakarta – The government’s subsidized housing program continues to demonstrate a positive impact on the community. In line with the government’s commitment to providing decent and affordable housing, the community is now enjoying the tangible benefits of this program.

The Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, expressed his emotion and happiness at seeing the direct impact of the subsidized housing program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto being felt by the community.

He said that this program not only helps home ownership, but also stimulates the people’s economy.

“I’m happy to see the situation here, and it was extraordinary, right? The woman was selling a food stall, the man was selling meatballs and chicken porridge,” said Maruarar.

According to him, this program is increasingly beneficial for the lower classes, including the free Savings-Based Housing Financing Assistance (BPPBT) and free Compensation Cost Assistance (BBG). He noted that this is already being implemented by local governments.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the Mayor for implementing the Regional Head Regulation (Perkada). It’s great, and everyone supports its development,” he said.

Furthermore, Bank Indonesia’s (BI) support represents a positive synergy for the 3 Million Homes Program. Furthermore, existing data indicates that housing development can boost the industrial sector and create jobs.

“To date, housing development continues to show a positive upward trend for subsidized housing. Therefore, the 3 Million Homes Program, as directed by President Prabowo, requires the involvement and synergy of various parties, including Bank Indonesia,” he said.

Meanwhile, BI Governor Perry Parjiyo stated that Bank Indonesia supports housing programs, including public housing.

“Over the past year, we have purchased Rp155 trillion in government bonds (SBN) from the government. Of that Rp155 trillion, the Minister of Finance has allocated it to finance public housing,” Perry said.

He continued, the housing sector, including public housing, supports economic growth and creates jobs.

“If housing progresses, sand will increase, sand purchases will increase, bricks will increase, cement will increase, iron will increase, and roof tiles will increase, thus driving other sectors of economic growth,” he explained.

The government hopes this program will continue and reach more families in need. With decent housing, it’s believed the future of the nation’s generations will be better.
