The Government Prepares Special Services and Guarantees a Smooth Fuel Supply During the New Year Holidays

Jakarta — The government, through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, is preparing special services and ensuring a smooth supply of fuel oil (BBM) during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays.

This step was taken to anticipate a surge in public mobility and to prevent disruptions to energy distribution on homecoming routes and tourist areas.

Among the services being offered are Serambi MyPertamina and the Fuel Motorist Service. These services are intended to assist travelers who might run out of fuel during their journey, particularly if they miscalculate the distance to the nearest gas station amidst heavy traffic.

The public can access this service through the 135 call center or the MyPertamina application by selecting the delivery service feature and the type of fuel needed.

Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, said that Serambi MyPertamina has been operating since November 13, 2025 and will continue to be available until two weeks after the New Year celebrations.

The presence of this service is part of Pertamina’s readiness to support public travel during the long holiday period.

“So, we always prepare additional services, yes, during major celebrations, Christmas, then also Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. Of course, with so many people traveling, hopefully the Rest Area will be an important point for refueling and also taking a break to avoid fatigue on the road,” said Ahad Rahedi.

Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga has also established a Nataru Task Force (Satgas) to ensure the stability of the national energy supply. A total of 1,886 gas stations are on 24-hour standby across Indonesia, supported by 210 tanker trucks on standby routes prone to congestion as a backup fuel supply.

Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Mars Ega Legowo Putra said the company has prepared four service pillars as its main strategy: energy availability at gas stations and LPG depots, terminal and distribution facility readiness, support for aviation and shipping, and special services in priority areas.

“This year’s standby period presents its own challenges, due to the increasing demand for fuel and extreme weather in many regions. Risk mitigation is a focus, especially in areas that are difficult to access,” said Mars Ega.

He emphasized that various anticipatory measures continue to be strengthened to maintain the reliability of national energy distribution.

“We hope that all these efforts will ensure that community activities continue and that energy needs are met throughout Indonesia,” concluded Mars Ega. #
