The security forces never tire of continuing to maintain security stability in order to fully support the Government’s efforts to realize accelerated development and increased welfare for the Papuan people .

Hard work from all parties always strives to ensure that conditions in the Land of Papua are orderly, safe and conducive because maintaining stability there is very important.

How could it not be, because even if the efforts carried out use the most up-to-date approaches, if they are not balanced with security stability, it is clear that development efforts will be greatly hampered and even stagnate or actually experience setbacks.

So instead of making the Earth of Cenderawasih more advanced by accelerating development so that all indigenous Papuan communities (OAP) can experience an increase in their standard of living, the opposite is true if all these efforts are not accompanied by conducive conditions.

Some time ago, there was a firefight between security forces from the joint forces of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) facing the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) in the Tembagapura District area, Mimika, Papua.

The firefight then resulted in the death of one of the leaders of the separatist gang, namely Abubakar Kogoya. Of course, it is not without reason why the security forces then implemented very strict legal action against KST Papua.

The reason is, so far there have been a series of very barbaric criminal acts carried out by terrorist gangs that have seriously disturbed security on Earth of Cenderawasih, including those carried out by Abubakar Kogoya. In fact, it is not uncommon for the actions they intensify to cause victims of completely innocent civilians.

It is clear that it is not just security disturbances that they are carrying out, but they also do not hesitate to take the lives of other people, who are actually native Papuans (OAP) themselves. Apart from that, KST Papua, the perpetrator of security instability in Bumi Cenderawasih, also continues to hamper efforts to accelerate development carried out by the Government.

Head of Information for the Joint Defense Area Command III (Kapen Kogabwilhan) Colonel Czi Ign Suriastawa explained that the very firm actions taken by the joint force security forces had succeeded in reducing or reducing the strength of KST Papua.

Apart from that, the security forces have taken firm action to punish separatist gangs whose ideology is opposed to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), also in an effort to maintain security stability in order to create smooth efforts to accelerate development and increase welfare for the Papuan people.

The process of accelerating development in Bumi Cenderawasih really requires security stability in the region. Because without stability, efforts to accelerate development and increase prosperity will clearly not be possible.

Moreover, Papua is still an area that is often plagued by security problems due to the presence of KST there. The number of actions carried out by these gangs, starting from shootings, vandalism and so on, will clearly greatly influence the interest of investors in whether they will ultimately want to invest in Papua or not.

If these investors consider that Bumi Cenderawasih is still an unsafe area, it is clear that these investors will never even look at investing their capital there.

In other words, the security forces in this case have a very important role and responsibility for realizing security stability in the Land of Papua. The presence of security forces will be able to map several problems there, and encourage the realization of security.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia (Wapres RI), KH Ma’ruf Amin, who is also the Chair of the Papua Steering Committee (BPP), emphasized that until now the government continues to use a very humanist and territorial-based approach to overcome security problems in Bumi Cenderawasih. .

One example of this humanist, territorially based approach is how the Indonesian Government raised awareness among the Papuan people, that they are an integral part that cannot be separated from the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. It is proven that with the right approach, even though security disturbances still exist, it seems that their frequency has been successfully reduced.

Even so, very strict law enforcement will clearly continue to be carried out against any party who attempts to disrupt security stability on Earth of Cenderawasih.

In fact, the root of the problem will be the disruption of security stability in the Land of Papua because it is caused by welfare problems. The government itself is also trying to overcome welfare problems by ensuring that accelerated development continues there, including by establishing several new autonomous regions (DOB) in Papua.
