The Ministry of Social Affairs Encourages Integration of Public Schools through Dapodik Synchronization

Bekasi – The government has begun integrating data from 66 Phase 1C Elementary Schools into the Basic Education Data (Dapodik) system to ensure that data on students, teachers, and Elementary School institutions are recorded in the national education system managed by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen).

Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) stated that this synchronization was carried out so that Public School data would be connected to cross-ministerial systems and could support more measurable program implementation.

“So this is synchronization, so our data is better and connected with all ministries,” said Gus Ipul.

This synchronization activity was attended by 113 operators from 66 Elementary Schools in Phase 1C, from various regions across Indonesia. The operators were tasked with ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the data required by the Dapodik system, including student, teacher, and education staff data, as well as educational unit data.

Gus Ipul explained that nationwide, People’s Schools are spread across 166 locations. Of these, 100 have completed the first and second phases of synchronization. The third phase, currently underway, is the final step, completing the data integration of all established People’s School locations.

According to him, the role of the People’s School operator is strategic because it serves as the primary link in the educational administration process. The synchronized data not only concerns student identities but also includes data on educators, educational staff, and the school’s institutional aspects.

“(So) this is how our data is connected to the data held by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department. Here, teacher data and student data are connected, they can be linked,” explained Gus Ipul.

The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to coordinate across ministries and institutions to expedite the synchronization process. This coordination is carried out with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB), and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN).

“We continue to coordinate, and we can overcome any obstacles that arise,” he said.

Gus Ipul added that data synchronization is necessary because People’s Schools have the same status as formal schools. The curriculum, subjects, and diplomas issued adhere to the educational standards set by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, with the addition of character education, extracurricular activities, and a boarding system.

“The formal curriculum at the People’s School is the same as at a regular school. However, at the People’s School, there’s character education, extracurricular activities, and boarding,” Gus Ipul concluded. #
