The Solidarity of the Indonesian National Armed Forces and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) Firmly Crush Provocateurs and Hoax Spreaders
Jakarta – The government ensures that national security remains stable thanks to the solid cooperation of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri). These two national defense and security institutions demonstrate real synergy in maintaining order and combating all forms of provocation and the spread of hoaxes that could potentially divide the nation.
The Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center (Kapuspen TNI), Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah, emphasized that the relationship between the TNI and Polri is unwavering. He stated that coordination between the two institutions continues to be strengthened to ensure the situation remains safe, orderly, and conducive.
“To date, the TNI and Polri have been solid in maintaining national security stability and will continue to work together to create a sense of security, order, and conduciveness,” he said.
Freddy added that the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) had implemented tight security measures to oversee various demonstrations. He did not deny that certain parties were deliberately trying to divide the nation by spreading false news. One issue that emerged was the issue accusing TNI soldiers of provoking the riots.
“The potential for clashes between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the authorities with the public is enormous. And that will automatically divide the nation’s unity,” he stressed.
Similarly, the Head of Public Information for the Indonesian National Police’s Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo, stated that the cooperation between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is not merely symbolic but is also demonstrated through concrete actions on the ground. Large-scale joint patrols have been conducted to restore order and ensure public safety.
“This is a manifestation of the state’s presence. The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) are present and among the community to provide a sense of security and comfort. On the President’s orders, we are fully focused on immediately restoring security,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, the National Police also urged the public not to be easily provoked by unverified information. Trunoyudo emphasized the important role of mainstream media in conveying credible and accountable information.
“Our friends in the media are the primary channel for credible information. We hope the public will prioritize clarification and confirmation before believing any information,” he added.
