Jakarta – The solidarity of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is clear evidence that the state will not tolerate anarchic actions that could potentially disrupt national stability. The synergy between these two defense and security institutions serves as a strong shield in maintaining public order while ensuring that democratic space remains within the law.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo reiterated the police’s commitment to thoroughly investigating the riots that occurred during several demonstrations across Indonesia. He emphasized that legal action should not stop at the perpetrators on the ground, but should also be directed at tracking down the intellectuals behind them.

“We will of course work together with our colleagues from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and all other elements who can provide information so we can resolve this matter,” said the National Police Chief.

According to him, close cooperation between agencies is key to maintaining order and creating safe conditions for the sustainability of national development.

“And most importantly, how do we maintain the conducive conditions of this nation going forward, so that they can be maintained properly, because that’s how Indonesia can carry out development and improve the welfare of its people,” he said.

The National Police Chief also expressed his appreciation to the community and religious leaders who helped maintain a conducive situation.

“Yes, of course, cooperation between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the community, along with prayer support from religious leaders, is one of the things that can accelerate the creation of a conducive situation,” he said.

In line with this, the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, emphasized that the collaboration between the TNI and Polri is a real manifestation of the state’s presence in society.

“This is a manifestation of the state’s presence. The TNI and Polri are present together, side by side among the community, to ensure a sense of security and comfort is maintained,” said Trunoyudo.

He explained that the synergy between the two institutions is evident in various joint patrols, public awareness campaigns on the importance of peacefully expressing aspirations, and transparent law enforcement against perpetrators of anarchy. “All legal processes will be conducted transparently to provide a sense of justice to the public,” he added.

“The Indonesian National Police (Polri) belongs to the people. We are not anti-criticism. In fact, we are open to input for future improvements. However, we hope that aspirations will be expressed within the law,” Trunoyudo emphasized.

The unity of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in dealing with the riots is concrete evidence that the state will not tolerate any form of anarchic action. This collaboration not only provides a sense of security but also demonstrates the state’s commitment to maintaining unity, order, and the well-being of the people.

The solidarity demonstrated by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) also serves as a moral message that freedom of expression should not be misused for destructive purposes. With the synergy of the authorities, public support, and the active role of national figures, Indonesia asserts itself as a firm, just nation, and leaves no room for those who attempt to undermine the democratic order through anarchic actions.
