TNI, Polri and BIN Ready to Secure WWF 2024 in Bali
Bali – The Indonesian National Army (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) continue to work together in securing the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) which will be held on 18 – 25 May 2024.
TNI Commander, General TNI Agus Subiyanto has asked his staff to anticipate all risks of threats that could disrupt the 10th WWF event in Nusa Dua, Bali.
“This includes the threat of natural disasters, by preparing an integrated security plan. “In coordination with the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the risks of disruption due to natural disasters must be minimized,” said the TNI Commander.
Meanwhile, the Head of the TNI Penuspen, Major General TNI Nugraha Gumilar, said that the TNI deployed 12,000 personnel from the Army (AD), Air Force (AU) and Navy (AL) to guard the WWF event in Bali.
“These personnel are responsible for security and health during the event,” said the TNI Head of Puspen.
On the other hand, the Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, also emphasized the importance of security apparatus synergy as the key to the success of the 2024 Puri Agung Operation regarding security for the 10th WWF.
“This international event, like the events that have been held previously, can be a golden opportunity for Indonesia to introduce tourism, especially Bali. “Therefore, security forces must work together to make this event a success,” said Sandi.
On the other hand, BIN also ensures the security of the areas that are the main venues and their surroundings for WWF 2024. Apart from that, BIN also anticipates a number of terror threats and other disturbances, so that the 10th WWF can run safely and smoothly.
Security preparations for the 10th WWF in Bali continue to be carried out by security forces in an effort to provide comfort and security for the delegates attending as a preventive measure, as well as to support the success of the 10th WWF event.
