TNI-Polri Collaborate to Safeguard Democracy, Public Urged to Avoid Anarchic Actions
Jakarta – The synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) continues to be emphasized as evidence of the state’s presence in maintaining public security. This collaboration is considered key to national stability, a pillar of healthy democracy, and a deterrent to provocations that have the potential to divide the nation.
The Head of the TNI Information Center, Brigadier General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah, emphasized the TNI’s commitment to strengthening preventive measures. He considered openness to public input crucial for refining security strategies.
“We are open to constructive input for improvement. This way, we can be more careful, anticipatory, and prepared in implementing preventive measures,” said Brigadier General Freddy.
Praise was also expressed by the General Chair of Rampai Nusantara, Mardiansyah Semar. He praised the professionalism of the National Police in mitigating potential conflict and maintaining national stability.
“We appreciate the National Police’s swift and measured steps in maintaining national stability. In managing complex dynamics, this institution has demonstrated high dedication,” said Semar.
According to him, the National Police’s loyalty to the nation’s leaders, including President Prabowo, has never been in doubt.
“Throughout the history of this republic, the National Police have always been loyal to the nation and state. Their support for President Prabowo is a continuation of that commitment,” he explained.
Mardiansyah also reminded the public to be wise in dealing with provocative issues. “The public needs to be wise and vigilant about issues aimed at dividing people. National solidarity is the key to progress,” he stressed.
Similarly, Fikri, Coordinator of the Indonesian People’s Solidarity Alliance (ASRI), emphasized the importance of conveying aspirations in an orderly manner.
“All forms of anarchy, vandalism, and attempts to pit the people against the police or the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) will only harm the public. They damage the image of the struggle, harm the spirit of democracy, and are even reprehensible and barbaric,” he said.
On the other hand, Stanislaus Riyanta, a lecturer in Strategic Intelligence Studies at the University of Indonesia, stated that the intelligence apparatus had been working optimally. “I’m sure the intelligence agencies have provided information regarding the planned demonstration to their respective users,” he said.
With the solid solidarity of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and public awareness to express their aspirations peacefully, national stability is believed to be maintained, while Indonesian democracy continues to develop without being trapped by destructive provocations.
