To ensure the security of Bali for the IMF-World Bank, terrorists will be terrorized in place by Police
CIDISS. Ahead of the upcoming Annual Meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank (IMF) in October 2018, the Bali Regional Police continue to tighten regional surveillance to prevent the entry of terrorism on the Island of the Gods.
Head of Bali Police Public Relations Division Kombes Pol. Henky Widjaja said that terrorist surveillance and prevention continues to be carried out by the Task Force owned by the Bali Regional Police which until now has continued to move, and also supported by a number of anti-terrorism Detachment 88 members in Bali.
Henky said Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Petrus R. Golose has also ordered all of its members to act decisively if they find terrorists in Bali with, if possible, take a shot on the spot.
He said, Mr Kapolda (Bali Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Petrus R. Golose) asked his members not to hesitate to take firm and measurable measures against terrorists.
Henky also said that until now the police continue to monitor the possibility of terrorist movements that exist throughout Indonesia, not only in Bali. For now Bali is still safe, because it often inflames anti-thuggery and anti-terrorism.
The police also routinely conduct partial simulations or simulate the regulation of traffic flow, the Brimob function as in the safeguards ahead of the IMF-World Bank later.
For safeguarding IMF-World Bank delegates, Henky continued, security officers and liaison officers were prepared. He said that the IMF-World Bank’s safeguards (meeting) were also assisted by police personnel from the National Police Headquarters and East Java Regional Police, because the activities were very large and he was sure to be safe.
As the host, Indonesia must provide the best so that the world-scale activities run smoothly and safely. However, it cannot be separated from the role of the community, for example by providing information to the local authorities if there are suspicious people, thus avoiding bomb terrorism during activities.
