Traditional Leaders and Denpasar Students Invite the Community to Support the 10th WWF
Bali – Chairman of the South Denpasar District Traditional Village Council, Made Sutama, appreciated the implementation of the 10th World Water Forum or WWF event which was held in Bali from 18-25 May 2024.
According to him, the implementation of the 10th WWF will provide many benefits for the world community, including Indonesia.
The South Denpasar community figure also invited the community to participate in maintaining a conducive situation during the implementation of the World Water Forum.
“Let’s maintain security, comfort and order, in the context of implementing the 10th WWF or World Water Forum so that the implementation of the World Water Forum runs smoothly and is beneficial for world life, especially Indonesia,” he said.
He also welcomed the 10th WWF delegates and hoped that the event would be successful.
A similar thing was also expressed by a student at the National Education University (Undiknas) Denpasar, Department of Management, Faed Prayetno. According to him, the Young Generation has an important role in making the WWF 2024 event a success.
“This is very important because it discusses important issues about water and the suitability of clean water,” he said.
Furthermore, Faed views water as an important element for all human life. Therefore, WWF is a forum for addressing water issues as a top priority.
“This forum plays a very important role for Indonesia because water is a source of people’s life, where it not only discusses clean water, but sustainable water management,” he said.
Faed believes that water issues are not the responsibility of the government alone, but also of all elements of society, including the younger generation.
Therefore, it is hoped that the young generation who are agents of change can participate and contribute actively in realizing better water management.
“The younger generation must also help maintain the availability of clean water, and young people must carry out this as agents of change,” explained Faed.
He also hopes that the 10th WWF event in Bali will provide good awareness for the younger generation regarding water management.
“This can be done by maintaining the availability of clean water in the environment around us,” he concluded.
