The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) initiated a strategic step through the inauguration of the Aneuk Muda Aceh Unggul and Hebat (AMANAH) Building in order to strengthen regional human resources (HR).
The program aims to encourage the growth and empowerment of Acehnese youth to have strong competitiveness at the national and global levels. The presence of this program not only answers the challenges of human resource development, but also creates an ecosystem that encourages innovation and productivity of youth in various leading sectors.
Since its launch, the BIN-initiated youth human resource development program has shown significant progress in forming a young generation that is ready to face the changing times.
With a primary focus on seven strategic sectors, including the agricultural sector, the AMANAH Building is present as an innovation and training center designed to optimize the potential of young people in Aceh.
Acting Regent of Aceh Besar, Muhammad Iswanto, sees the AMANAH program as real evidence of BIN’s commitment to supporting regional welfare.
In his view, the AMANAH Building has an important role in creating an environment that allows young Acehnese farmers to innovate and develop their abilities.
With the support of modern facilities and comprehensive training, the program enables local farmers to adopt more advanced agricultural technologies and methods, thereby increasing productivity and competitiveness.
The importance of the agricultural sector in the program is inseparable from its relationship to national food security. Muhammad Iswanto assessed that a similar approach implemented in Papua through the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) also had a significant positive impact.
The synergy between the AMANAH and PYCH programs is a key factor in creating a balance of development between the western and eastern regions of Indonesia. Thus, this program not only focuses on improving welfare in Aceh, but also supports national food security through the contribution of innovative young farmers.
In addition to the agricultural sector, the AMANAH program is also a center for developing skills and creativity for the younger generation in various fields. One of the superior facilities owned by the building is Rumah Kemasan, an innovation center that plays a role in designing and developing local Aceh product packaging.
The facility enables Acehnese youth to add value to their products, such as perfume, tumblers and other local crafts, through more attractive packaging designs that meet international standards.
Dr. Syaifullah Muhammad, Head of the Atsiri Research Center (ARC) of Syiah Kuala University, stated that the presence of the AMANAH Building is an important driver in improving the local economy.
He saw the great potential of the multifunctional building in developing various sectors, including the creative industry, entrepreneurship, and research. With various modern facilities available, Acehnese youth can access training designed to improve their competence in various fields. This is in line with the main objective of the program, which is to form an independent and highly competitive young generation.
In addition, Dr. Syaifullah also highlighted the importance of digital technology integration in this program. The AMANAH building not only provides physical facilities, but also supports digital transformation for young entrepreneurs in Aceh.
Through training that focuses on digital marketing, the young generation of Aceh is expected to be able to manage and market their products more effectively, so that they can compete in the national and global markets.
The government’s commitment to supporting regional human resource development is not only limited to training aspects, but also includes improving financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Ferry Irawan, Deputy for Macroeconomic and Financial Coordination of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and Chair of the Secretariat of the National Council for Financial Inclusion (DNKI), emphasized the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills and financial literacy, especially for local farmers.
Through the AMANAH program, young farmers in Aceh are given access to various trainings aimed at increasing their capacity to manage their businesses more efficiently and productively.
The government’s efforts to encourage financial inclusion through the People’s Business Credit (KUR) program with low interest rates are also an important element in supporting these farmers.
Digitalization in financial management is considered the main solution to expand access to financial services for livestock farmers, so that they can manage their businesses better and be highly competitive.
The AMANAH program is not only a means to improve the welfare of Acehnese youth, but is also part of a broader national strategy in creating inclusive and sustainable development.
With the support of BIN and various related parties, the HR development program is expected to continue to provide positive contributions to the regions and encourage equitable prosperity throughout Indonesia.
The inauguration of the AMANAH Building is real evidence of the government’s strong commitment to realizing the development of superior and competitive human resources in Aceh, in line with President Jokowi’s vision.
