Young Papuan Intellectuals Call on Youth to Take Advantage of New Zealand for a Better Future
Papua – Arman Wakum, a young Papuan intellectual, expressed his views regarding the expansion of the region in the Land of Papua through the addition of four new provinces. According to Arman, the presence of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) opens up many opportunities and progress, especially for young Papuan people.
Arman explained that with the DOB, opportunities that previously may have been limited and uneven are now more open. He sees a lot of potential that can be exploited by Papuan youth in various fields such as work, education, creative work, economy, culture, tourism and others.
“With the DOB, it is hoped that many young people will stand up and work here. “Opportunities are not only limited to one field, but many fields,” said Arman.
He also highlighted the importance of Papuan children who have studied outside Papua, even abroad, to return and work in their homeland.
According to Arman, DOB can support the existence of young Papuans by providing many opportunities and positive things they can do. He emphasized that young Papuan people must have lots of ideas and not just stop at thinking, but must be executed well.
Apart from that, Arman also encouraged the importance of collaboration between young Papuans, both fellow native Papuans and with friends from other regions who have good ideas for development and progress in the Land of Papua.
“Collaboration between young people and creative ideas from various regions will have an extraordinary impact on Papua,” he stressed.
Arman realized that previously this DOB had been widely rejected, but now it has become a reality. Therefore, he invited all Papuan youth to fill the new autonomous region with creative and positive ideas.
Arman Wakum also invited all young Papuans to make the best use of the time they have.
“We are still young, still healthy. “Let’s work, study hard, and develop our creative ideas in any field,” he said.
He believes that with hard work, discipline, responsibility and positive thinking, dreams can be achieved and Papua can be better in the future.
In his message, Arman also emphasized the importance of learning not only from official institutions but also from society, the reading community and the writing community.
“Cheer up, we are looking forward to a better Papua,” he concluded.
