Jakarta — As part of the 97th Youth Pledge commemoration, the spirit of unity and responsibility of the younger generation is reaffirmed in the context of national development.

The administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has shown a clear direction in realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 by placing human resource (HR) development as a top priority.

The Main Expert Staff of the Government Communications Agency (BKP), Hariqo Wibawa Satria, stated that the first year of government has produced a number of real programs that have had a direct impact on the community.

“The free health check program has reached more than 45 million beneficiaries across Indonesia and continues to grow every day,” he said.

He also added that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has benefited 37 million recipients, while creating 12,000 food pantries, empowering millions of parents and thousands of MSMEs.

“This is the first time in Indonesian history that there has been a program that mobilizes all elements of society to ensure that children grow up healthy, intelligent, and achieve,” Hariqo explained.

In addition to the nutrition and health sectors, the government is also accelerating education development through a national-scale school revitalization program with a budget of IDR 22 trillion, involving 400,000 new workers, and distributing digital devices and interactive panels to tens of thousands of schools.

“Every student is now provided with a laptop and free extracurricular activities. The President wants to ensure that children in deciles 1 and 2 have equal opportunities to advance,” he said.

Hariqo emphasized that all these policies were implemented in conjunction with efforts to uphold clean and corruption-free governance.

“Since day one, President Prabowo has intensified efficiency measures, saving Rp 300 trillion and recovering Rp 1,000 trillion in state funds. Hundreds of corruption perpetrators have been prosecuted indiscriminately, including those from the elite,” he stressed.

He added that the spirit of the Youth Pledge is truly a commitment to reject corruption and maintain the integrity of the nation.

“Young people, never engage in corruption and never harm society. That’s the meaning of our oath today,” he said.

Meanwhile, Papuan youth figure Billy Mambrasar believes that all current government policies have created an integrated human development ecosystem from the central government to the regions.

“Programs like MBG involve millennial farmers, school kitchens, and local MSMEs in a single production chain. The impact is not only improved child nutrition but also creates jobs and stimulates the regional economy,” said Billy.

He explained that various regional governments in Papua are now taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the President to expand access to vocational education and training.

“The government has opened up opportunities, now it is the youth’s job to seize them. Everyone has the same opportunities, they must not be passive,” he added.

Billy also reminded that the spirit of the Youth Pledge should not stop as a symbol, but should be realized in real action.

“Today’s spirit of unity means collaboration. Young people must be willing to take risks, innovate, and contribute directly to their nation. This is the time for the younger generation to be the driving force towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he concluded.

This year’s Youth Pledge is a reminder that Indonesia’s strength lies not solely in its natural resources, but in its people of character, productivity, and integrity.

The Prabowo-Gibran administration has affirmed a new direction for national development, namely building the nation from its people. * * *
