Jakarta – The Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), KH. Marsudi Syuhud, expressed deep appreciation for the performance of President Joko Widodo’s administration over the past ten years. According to him, the Indonesian people should be grateful for the safe and comfortable conditions they are currently experiencing.

“Everyone can see, a lot of infrastructure has been built, all the needs that are very much required today have been established,” said KH. Marsudi.

“Even Indonesia, when viewed from abroad, is very comfortable compared to countries that have not yet learned to live together. Religious harmony is progressing well,” he continued.

KH. Marsudi also emphasized the importance of continuing the development that has been initiated by President Jokowi.

“We hope that what President Jokowi has done can be continued by the elected President and Vice President.” “Don’t let anything be interrupted, as it could hinder the benefits for the community,” he added.

In addition, KH. Marsudi emphasized that brotherhood among religious communities and individuals must be maintained and safeguarded, just as President Jokowi has been striving to build it during his leadership.

“Thank God, until today we can live together in harmony.” “Let us not allow this brotherhood to be shattered just because of a five-year political cycle,” he said, while inviting the entire community to uphold tolerance and respect differences.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah, Prof. Abdul Mu’ti, expressed similar appreciation for President Jokowi’s achievements.

“We must respect our leaders and objectively assess the various achievements that have been made.” “Infrastructure, economic resilience, open democracy, and Indonesia’s role on the international stage are tangible evidence of President Jokowi’s government performance,” stated Prof. Mu’ti.

Prof. Mu’ti also emphasized the importance of supporting the elected government of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka to ensure the continuity of the Indonesian nation.

“A peaceful and orderly election is not just a victory for the elected pair, but a victory for the entire Indonesian nation.” “We must give them the opportunity and trust to lead this country forward,” he urged.

Both KH. Marsudi and Prof. Abdul Mu’ti agree that the transition of leadership must proceed smoothly and be fully supported by all layers of society. Both invite the public to continue to uphold unity and not be divided by political differences, as well as to support sustainable programs that have been initiated for the welfare of the nation.
