Support the Smooth Transition and Success of the New Government Program of Prabowo Subianto.
Jakarta – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, has firmly requested full support from the TNI and Polri personnel as well as members of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet to ensure a smooth transition of power to the elected President Prabowo Subianto. President Jokowi emphasized the importance of maintaining national stability during this transition period, so that it proceeds effectively and without disruption.
“I ask the TNI and Polri to maintain stability and fully support the transition of government, so that the administration led by General (Ret.) Prabowo Subianto runs smoothly,” said Jokowi.
Furthermore, President Jokowi emphasized the importance of maintaining political stability and security, considering that next month in October, the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the elected President and Vice President of Indonesia will take place. In addition, there will also be simultaneous regional head elections (pilkada) held in various regions in Indonesia in November.
“Make sure there are no disturbances that could disrupt the transition process. We must ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently,” he added.
President Jokowi also called on all members of his cabinet to fully support the work program of the elected president. He emphasized the importance of completing priority programs and promptly executing the necessary regulations to support the Prabowo-Gibran administration.
Prabowo Subianto, who won the 2024 Presidential Election alongside Gibran Rakabuming Raka, did not establish a special transition team but opted to form a Synchronization Task Force. This team has a role similar to that of a transition team, tasked with accommodating strategic steps to ensure the smooth implementation of the new government’s work program.
President Jokowi has given full support to the upcoming government by accommodating several of Prabowo’s loyalists in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, including Thomas Djiwandono and Supratman Andi Agtas. This step is taken to ensure the synchronization of policies and the acceleration of the implementation of the Prabowo-Gibran work program after the inauguration.
Jokowi also urged the government to maintain a conducive situation and security stability during this transition process, as well as to anticipate potential unrest that could disrupt the continuity of development.
“To continue to grow, we must maintain stability. We must not allow any ripples of unrest until the new government is formed,” Jokowi emphasized.
With a smooth transition and full support from all elements of the government, Prabowo Subianto’s administration can immediately work effectively and continue national development for the advancement of the Indonesian people.
