Beware of the Terror Act during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The shooting incident by the terror group in Poso, Central Sulawesi occurred on Wednesday (15/4). This incident shows that the terrorist network continues to be a threat to the integrity of the nation under any conditions, including during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The rise of terrorist acts from year to year proves that terrorism is a crime against human values, acts of terrorism that have occurred so far have resulted in loss of lives regardless of victims, ranging from children to adults, civilians to security forces.
Professor of Political Science at UPI, Prof. Cecep Darmawan, said that terrorism is an extraordinary crime that is universal and threatens human values, peace, security, unity and even civilization. Concretely terrorism is the greatest enemy of humanity of all time.
When the State struggled to rise against the corona virus, terrorist acts occurred in Poso, Central Sulawesi, where members of the police tasked with maintaining security at the Bank Syariah Mandiri Poso branch office, received attacks from a group of armed civilians. One of them was reportedly injured by a shot.
This was justified by the Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Police Commissioner, Didik Supranoto, his party said that there were members who were injured by gunfire and stabbing. The incident occurred on Jalan Pulau Irian Jaya, Gebang Rejo, Poso Regency.
The two perpetrators came riding motorbikes in tandem, then immediately attacked the police officers who were on guard. The attack occurred at 09.15 WITA.
The two terrorists in Poso are believed to be part of the terrorist group Mujahidin East Indonesia (MIT). Although the two perpetrators escaped, the police have succeeded in securing the perpetrator’s weapon. The two perpetrators are Muis Fahron alias Abdullah and Ali alias Darwin Gobel.
Police officers managed to find the two perpetrators at around 13:00 WITA in a state of death, but the police have not detailed the causes of the deaths of the two terrorists who injured the police. Didik said the two perpetrators were members of a group of MIT terrorists led by Ali Kalora.
The Terror Act will certainly cause instability in a region and nation, endanger the community, and be a threat to peace and development being promoted by the government.
Especially now that the community is in a state of caution about the potential for co-19 transmission. If added to the threat of terror, of course this will not have a good impact on security in Indonesia.
Various acts of terrorism that occurred in a number of countries including Indonesia, based on the fertility of radical thought in individuals. Where this thinking is the result of various things, ranging from exposure to radical studies, or content in online media that leads to anti-democratic attitudes in Indonesia.
The motives of the terrorists to carry out acts of terror one of which is the dogma about Jihad that has entered his mind, the failure to understand the concept of jihad seems to close the conscience of terrorists to injure and even kill fellow humans just because of different ideologies. Whereas basically Jihad is upholding Religion or defending the wrongdoers, not by creating destruction and fear of the innocent.
Covid-19 has become a non-natural national disaster. The existence of terrorist acts in the Poso region certainly shows a real crime against humanity by a group of people who are radical.
Radicals believe that criticism on the issue of ideological differences is a religious jihad that is often deified without the existence of humanitarian jihad. Those who are radical will assume that doing damage or hurting someone who disagrees is a jihad with the gift of heaven, even if it causes casualties.
This belief should be one of the logical flaws of the radicals, if you want heaven, you must help and help the weak, not by spreading chaos and panic in the middle of a pandemic.
Deradicalisation efforts seem to have begun to be encouraged again, the Government must direct ex-prisoners of terrorism (napiter) prisoners to spread and straighten the understanding of religion in accordance with Islamic teachings, that Islam is a religion that rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
In the midst of this pandemic, we should be sensitive to social conditions, not necessarily to spread hatred or hurt fellow humans with acts of terror.
