Communities and Officials Must Unite to Face the Potential of Terror towards the End of the Year

The public and the apparatus must unite to face the potential for terror towards the end of the year. With this increased synergy, it is hoped that acts of terror can be prevented.
Peace at the end of the year can be disrupted when terrorists threaten and even plant bombs in several public places. I don’t know what was going on in their minds when they terrorized the community, even though they are both Indonesian citizens who have the right to enjoy year-end holidays. However, terrorist groups actually think negative and carry out threats and many other dangerous activities.
To prevent terrorism at the end of the year, the National Police arrested 3 terrorist suspects in Central Java. This arrest is an achievement because if someone is caught, he can become an informant, where are the flock, what are their plans, and so on.
Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Eva Yuliana, stated that the achievements of the National Police should not make the parties complacent, but instead become more alert to the threat of terror at the end of the year. In a sense, there could be attacks from terrorist groups in retaliation for their members being grabbed by the police. So there must be action to prevent attacks and save the community.
Eva added that people have the right to feel safe during the Nataru holidays (Christmas and New Years) and the state is obliged to protect them from terror threats. In a sense, people’s security is a priority because we certainly don’t want a bloody event to blacken the nuances of the turn of the year. Therefore, as Indonesian citizens, we have the right to be protected by the state.
However, we can’t just walk away and be normal at the end of the year, because as a civil society we can face terror at the end of the year. The trick is not to take up arms (because they don’t have the right to use a gun), but by reporting anything suspicious or something.
For example, when someone suddenly puts a package in a public place and leaves it just like that, immediately call the police, because it could be a bomb that was placed secretly by a member of a terrorist group. When it turns out to be a ticking time bomb then you become a hero for saving so many lives from the grim reaper.
On another day, when you accidentally see suspicious group behavior or even witness the throwing of Molotov cocktails at a public place or house of worship, of course you immediately call the police station. Don’t be afraid to be a witness to an incident like this, because the authorities will protect you. The point is, when something doesn’t seem right and your instincts tell you that something is wrong, it’s worth reporting it.
When there is such an incident, it is not suspicious or paranoid when you find a suspicious package or a person who turns out to be a terrorist group. However, we should be more careful because usually at the end of the year there are threats of bombings and violence carried out by terrorist groups.
The public is obliged to unite with the apparatus to reconcile Indonesia and secure the situation, because as good citizens of the country, we love the country and it is proven by our care for our surroundings. Don’t even be ignorant and your 1st concern can prevent various crimes by terrorist groups.
When the security forces and civilians unite, we are optimistic that at the end of the year it will be safe and there will be no threat of bombing. The reason is because if there is cooperation, it will prevent acts of terror in the community.
