The Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KST) has again committed atrocities to the Papuan people. The acts of atrocities committed by KST Papua today resemble and even exceed the actions of international terrorist organizations, namely the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or what we are more familiar with as ISIS.
This time KST Papua has again carried out brutal and sadistic actions against civilians in the Koroway tribal area, Yahukimo region, Papua. And what is even more astonishing is that KST Papua’s atrocities in brutally killing civilians were carried out by beheading them and then recorded in the form of amateur videos and released by their own side. A sadistic act that we often find in cyberspace carried out by many ISIS militants in Syria.
It is known that the victim’s name is Azis, and he is a non-Papuan immigrant. The victim is a traditional gold miner in the Kampung Kawe area, Awinbon District, Bintang Mountains Regency. From the amateur video footage of this sadistic murder that is widely circulated on social media, the Papuan KST party carried out its propaganda by holding the beheaded head of the victim and calling the victim an intelligence officer from Indonesia.
The Head of Public Relations (Head of Public Relations) of the Papua Regional Police (Polda Papua), Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Ahmad Mustafa Kamal in his press statement confirmed and confirmed this incident. He added that the beheading murder case is being handled by the Bintang Mountains Resort Police (Polres).
From the information obtained, the incident began when the victim was guarding the kiosk with his friend. Then came some unknown people and went straight into the stall. The two unidentified people entered the kiosk to inquire about the victim while holding a machete, while the others stood guard outside the stall.
Kombes Pol Ahmad continued that at the time of the incident the victim was ordered to take off his clothes by the two unidentified persons. The victim’s friend who was at the scene immediately fled to location 96, and immediately notified the community at location 96. Currently, the Bintang Mountains Police are still coordinating to go to the scene to evacuate the victim’s body.
This amateur video recording of the beheading by KST Papua was released by the spokesman for KST Papua, Sebby Sambom. Sebby said that the incident occurred on Tuesday, July 19, the evening. The beheading was carried out by KST Papua Kodap 16 Yahukimo Region led by Bocor Sobolim.
From the amateur video with a duration of 2 minutes and 50 seconds, it can be seen that the figure of Bocor Sobolim and several of his followers are carrying a cloth package which contains a human head piece. Leak Sobolim, who is also the leader of the KST Papuan troops in the Yahukimo region, accused the victim of being an Indonesian intelligence officer and disguised as a traditional gold miner in the Korowai area, and posed a serious threat that KST Papua would not play games with the overseas residents in their area.
The form of the threat conveyed by Leak was that the KST Papua party would not only kill and then dispose of the bodies of the suspected migrants, but would even take the heads of the victims home. He even boldly shows off his head in the video. An act that is sadistic and very inhumane and unfit for public viewing.
In addition to giving death threats, Bocor Sobolim also gave a firm statement if the KST Papua refused to expand the territory or the New Autonomous Region (DOB) in Papua. He, as the KST Papua party, threatened that if the division continued, civilians in his territory would be targeted for killing.
The Commander of the Military Resort (Danrem) 127 Praja Wira Yakhti, Brigadier General (Brigjen) Jo Sembiring denied the allegations from KST Papua. Brigadier General Jo stated that the victims were purely civilians who made a living in the gold mining area.
The Kopassus general admitted that access to the gold panning area was very deep in the forest and could only be accessed by helicopter. He also added that gold panning in the Koroway Region does not have any personnel, including TNI/Polri posts.
This terrible incident that was repeatedly carried out by KST Papua on Cenderawasih Earth, seemed to be a reminder to all of us that KST Papua is an inseparable part that is a factor hindering development progress in Papua. The various anarchic and barbaric acts that he carried out on civilians, both Papuan Orang Asli (OAP) and migrants, as well as TNI/Polri officers under the pretext of achieving their original goals, were inappropriate to be justified.
