All people in Bali are advised to limit activities. This is intended so that the smooth running of the G20 Summit activities can be more guaranteed, besides that it also has an impact on economic growth.
Officially, Circular Letter (SE) Number 35425/2022 regarding the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities in the Implementation of the G20 Presidency has been issued.
The issuance of the Bali Governor’s SE is in order to welcome the peak of the G20 Summit on the Island of the Gods.
Wayan Koster as the Governor of Bali said in the SE that the entire G20 series must run smoothly.
“The holding of a series of G20 Presidency meetings must take place smoothly, comfortably, safely, peacefully and successfully,” he said.
Some important points that must be known in the SE regarding restrictions on community activities are that from 12 to 17 November 2022 there will be several rules.
This rule especially applies to people in Kuta District, South Kuta District, Badung Regency to South Denpasar.
The reason is, for community activities in the field of education, government offices to the private sector, traditional ceremonies and religious activities are all temporarily suspended, except for health and hotel facilities.
Then for teaching and learning activities for all levels up to university, it is carried out online from home, while for workers it is mandatory to work from home (WFH).
Not only that, but there will also be restrictions on some activities, especially on all routes to the location of the G20 Summit.
These routes include; Hotel Apurva Kempinski, ITDC, Bali Mandara Toll Road, Garuda Wisnu Kencana to the mangrove seeding area of the Tahura Area.
To be able to ensure that all these regulations run as they should, Wayan Koster even specifically gave a message to all local regents and mayors.
“The Badung Regent, Gianyar Regent, Tabanan Regent, and Denpasar Mayor are required to conduct surveillance in the field to ensure restrictions on community activities,” he added.
In the same vein, the Regional Secretary for the Province of Bali, Dewa Made Indra, appealed to all Balinese people to jointly support the smooth implementation of the G20 Summit.
“We announce to residents who live or work in the area and hope that all Balinese people will jointly support the smooth and successful implementation of the G-20 Presidency meeting for the good name of Indonesia, especially Bali,” he said.
Meanwhile, Denpasar Police Chief, Kombes Bambang Yugo Pamungkas stated that all Balinese people must have the same vision and mission, namely to support the success of the G20.
The reason is that if the event can run smoothly, the impact will also help accelerate economic growth.
“As good citizens, we all have the same vision and mission to succeed in the implementation of the G20 Summit which has an impact on the Indonesian people, especially Bali, which has an impact on economic growth, after being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic for 2 years,” he said in a written statement.
