Indonesia is ready to move the world economy and play a role in overcoming the global multidimensional crisis, especially with the momentum of the G20 Presidency in Bali.

Regarding this, the Director General of Information and Public Communication of Kominfo, Usman Kansong, explained that Indonesia has a role in the G20 because of its economic scale it is able to have a big impact on the world economy.

The proof is regarding the idea of creating an endowment fund, which was actually proposed by Indonesia.

“Indonesia has succeeded in inviting the G20 to create an endowment fund, which is used for preparations such as the ongoing pandemic,” he said.

Not without reason, in fact the Indonesian economy itself, if measured, is capable of having a magnitude of up to 80 percent of the world’s economy.

The G20 meeting itself, according to Usman Kansong, succeeded in opening and also expanding a lot of job opportunities.

Moreover, as the host, Indonesia is completely reluctant if the international-scale meeting is in fact just an arena for fighting ideas with concepts that are still not clear.

Therefore, Indonesia continues to encourage G20 member countries to actually show concrete results for world change.

The Director General of Information and Public Communication, Kominfo added that the gross domestic product (GDP) in Indonesia continues to increase, which shows that the nation’s economic fundamentals are very good.

With this data, it is automatically able to move the world economy because there is also an increase in the market value of goods and services business units in a country.

Usman Kansong also emphasized that the G20 Summit forum will not only make Indonesia play a role in the world economy.

However, if there are other things, such as global conflicts, which also have an impact on the economy, they will be immediately noticed.

“Although the G20 focuses on the country’s economy, if there is an impact from global conflicts, it will still be considered. Moreover, it has a negative impact on the economy,” he explained.

On another occasion, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, also stated that he had invited all world economic leaders with the aim of making a much stronger global recovery.

“I invite all world economic leaders to contribute to the G20 Presidency to ensure a stronger, more inclusive global recovery. Cooperation is not only between governments, not only G-to-G but also G-to-B, or even B-to-B,” he said.

For information, the summit of the G20 Summit will be held from 15 to 16 November 2022.

Indonesia as the host as well as the Presidency has prepared at least three main focus studies to be discussed.

The first is about promoting productivity, then increasing resilience and stability, to ensuring sustainable growth in an inclusive way.

As a representative of a developing country, Indonesia has even substantially contributed to bringing up various solutions to the world’s multidimensional crisis.
