Traditional Leaders and Papuan Citizens Support KST Eradication
By : Charles Tabuni )*
Papuan traditional leaders support the eradication of KST (Separatist and Terrorist Groups). The same goes for the people on Earth of Cendrawasih. They agreed to reject KST and support its eradication, because the separatist group is too dangerous and has repeatedly attacked the people of Papua. KST must be eradicated so that Papua is always safe.
Papua is known as an exotic place for vacations and a producer of sago and other natural products. But it’s a shame that Papua is also known as a KST location, even though the rebel group is only a handful of residents who demand independence. KST disfigures the name of Papua, both at the national and international levels, so it must be eradicated.
The entire Papuan people reject KST outright because they have crossed the limits of humanity, by committing robberies and attacks. The victims of the Papuan civilians are not only injured victims. However, there are also victims. Community leaders are also anti-KST because the group is wrong and has become a traitor to the country.
All people in the Tembagapura District, Mimika, Papua, declare to reject KST. They fully support the eradication of KST carried out by members of the TNI and Polri. KST has gone too far by carrying out attacks with firearms and sharp weapons.
The Copperpura residents strongly objected to the presence of groups that would enter, then caused a commotion because they disturbed the peace of the residents, especially in Tembagapura.
KST has repeatedly caused trouble, even attacking with sharp weapons. According to data from the Papua Regional Police, there were more than 90 fatalities due to the KST attack in 2022. The number of victims should not increase any more. Most recently, KST attacked security forces who were guarding the Tarawih Prayer service and resulted in the death of 2 TNI/Polri personnel. Because of that, the community strongly rejects KST so that they don’t cause trouble and hurt Papuans.
Meanwhile, traditional leader Jos Magay expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the presence of joint TNI/Polri security personnel in maintaining the comfort and safety of the community. Jos Magay also firmly rejected the acts of violence that were often carried out by the KKB in Tembagapura.
In a sense, traditional leaders and the people of Papua are both anti-KST. They refused the arrival of the separatist group in their area. KST is very detrimental because if they come, they will threaten the community and then commit robbery. If his request is not complied with there will be acts of violence and harm the residents, because they feel terror.
It would be a big mistake if KST claimed that its separatist movement was supported by the Papuan people. In fact they only aim for power in Papua, but do not care about the people. The proof is that the number of injured and fatalities from the people of Cendrawasih Earth is increasing.
Meanwhile, another Papuan community leader, Yanto Eluay, stated that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is priceless, Papua has integrated with Indonesia since the 1969 popular vote. There is no place for KST and OPM either in Papua or in Indonesia.
Yanto and other Papuan community leaders such as Herman Yoku, Sem Kogoya, and Max Ohee united and expressed their rejection of KST and OPM. They also reject anyone who thinks that July 1 is OPM’s birthday, and that not a single Papuan celebrates it. They reject KST because they understand that the separatist group is breaking peace in Papua.
Yanto added, the community must unite in maintaining security and order from KST attacks. Don’t let anyone be influenced by propaganda and hoaxes that are deliberately made by KST members. According to him, there are still people who believe in hoaxes too easily, especially on social media, so they must be warned.
KST does use social media to influence the public and incite them to defect. They create special accounts and spread hoaxes such as sweeping and eradicating the Melanesian race. Although there is no such program. The public is asked to remain calm and not be triggered by hoaxes, which will disrupt the situation.
If there are Papuans who find a hoax that turns out to be made by KST, then report it directly to the cyber police. The IP address will be traced later so that their position will be known. In this way it will be easier to catch KST, because tracking is carried out with the help of sophisticated technology.
Communities in Cendrawasih Earth respect traditional leaders and community leaders and they follow instructions so as not to be triggered by issues that are deliberately raised by KST. If community leaders reject KST, Papuans will follow suit. They understood that KST and OPM made a big mistake, because they wanted to defect and invite the people of Cendrawasih to participate.
Community leaders in Papua unanimously reject the existence of KST. The rebel group is very detrimental because it repeatedly carried out attacks on civilians, and to the point of causing casualties. The Papuan people also reject the existence of KST because they can only disrupt the situation and harm many people, both morally and materially.
