The demonstration that will be carried out by a number of workers entitled the people power movement, which is planned to be held on August 10, 2023, will only cause chaos. Not only will it make the situation even more chaotic, but it will also further hinder the government’s programs.

Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (Waketum KSPSI) led by Yorrys Raweyai, Arnod Sihite deeply regretted the invitation from Jumhur Hidayat who planned to hold a workers’ demonstration, with a special agenda, namely to completely revoke the Omnibus Law on Manpower. .

How could it not be, the article is that the application of the Omnibus Law will actually make it easier and expedite the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), which currently has a main agenda, namely accelerating the national economic recovery.

The acceleration of the national economic recovery is none other than, of course it will be able to run smoothly if the Omnibus Law on Manpower remains valid and implemented. Therefore, with an invitation to mobilize a large number of masses, especially if it is actually done in the name of workers, if it is done at this time, it will certainly be an extremely inappropriate thing.

The imprecision of the invitation to mobilize the masses with the title of people power is because it has the potential to disrupt the big agenda being promoted by the Government of Indonesia, namely accelerating national economic recovery and will also make the people themselves lose out because it cannot be denied that until now, the people are currently concentrating on being able to get back on their feet after being hit for so long due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Moreover, for the current moment, not only will it greatly disrupt the existence of government programs in the form of efforts to accelerate national economic recovery, but it will also be very prone to being ridden by certain parties who are very irresponsible and only have their own hidden agenda in practice. because it is currently approaching the implementation of the General Election (Election) in 2024.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia itself, at this point in time, really needs political stability in the country, because with stability that can be maintained properly, it will automatically strengthen the economy and actually the good impact will also be felt by the increasing workers. welfare.

Moreover, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia itself, since the leadership in the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has been very responsive when it comes to capturing the aspirations of the workers who want to convey their aspirations. So in fact to be able to capture all of his complaints by the government, there is absolutely no need for action to take to the streets.

There is a very important note, which this nation really deserves attention, namely Indonesia has to learn a lot from the many cases of political and economic crises that occurred in other countries such as in Sri Lanka some time ago. In fact, this nation has become a very fortunate country because its economic conditions have continuously recorded and experienced growth so that political stability is guaranteed to be well maintained.

When the situation and conditions in the country are so good, then there is no longer a need for certain parties to deliberately cause trouble again which creates a threat to state instability so that it will only harm the people themselves.

Meanwhile, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) also stated that the existence of a statement made by political observer Rocky Gerung some time ago also had the potential to provoke people in Indonesia and trigger a movement entitled people power, which would only lead to further the emergence of various kinds of commotion in the implementation of the democratic party and political contestation in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) so that the stability of the country will also be disrupted.

The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) explained that if the existence of the people power movement is not immediately suppressed, it is feared that it will become a catalyst for other movements with the same title.

So that when it becomes a catalyst, it will be very prone to give rise to various kinds of movements that are much bigger and more massive in various regions in Indonesia.

If this continues to be allowed to go unpunished, it will not only be able to create state and political instability, but will also further hamper the various work programs launched by the government and make the people themselves will be adversely affected.
