Jakarta – The government has ensured that supplies of fuel (BBM), LPG, electricity, and national food stocks are in a safe condition ahead of the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations.

This assurance is given amid increasing public mobility as well as efforts to meet needs in several disaster-affected areas.

PT Pertamina (Persero) stated that energy supplies, including fuel and LPG, are at safe levels to face the year-end holiday period.

Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina, Arya Dwi Paramita, emphasized that energy stocks have been prepared based on thorough studies and careful calculations.

“For the Christmas and New Year period, conditions are at a safe stock level,” he said.

He also stressed that the energy supply strategy has taken potential natural disasters into account, so the public is advised not to make excessive purchases.

“We have calculated energy supplies, so people do not need to panic buy and are advised to purchase only according to their needs,” Arya added.

Pertamina ensured that this supply guarantee covers all regions of Indonesia, including Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Although distribution in disaster-affected areas still faces access constraints, Pertamina, together with related agencies, continues to make adjustments to ensure supplies remain available.

From the government side, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Yuliot Tanjung, confirmed that supplies of fuel, LPG, and electricity in various regions, including West Java and surrounding areas, are in a safe condition.

“The government, together with state-owned energy companies, has taken various anticipatory measures to maintain smooth energy distribution amid potential surges in public demand during Christmas 2025 and the New Year,” he said.

He added that primary energy supplies such as fuel, coal, and gas are at safe levels, with average resilience ranging from 17 to 20 days.

The government has also ensured the readiness of supporting infrastructure for Nataru travel, including improved services on toll roads and rest areas, the addition of Wi-Fi facilities, and the expansion of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) to anticipate an increase in electric vehicle usage.

Meanwhile, from the food sector, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman emphasized that there would be no tolerance for business actors who raise prices above the Highest Retail Price (HET).

“Those who raise prices, I will make sure they face strict consequences. Trust me,” he asserted.

The government confirmed that national food stocks are at safe levels, with rice reserves reaching around 3.7 million tons and projected to continue increasing.
