CIDISS.CO In order to succeed in organizing the Asian Games 2018 in DKI Jakarta, the Ministry of Transportation prepared three policy packages
The three packages are traffic engineering management, provision of public transport, and freight arrangements.
Head of Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) Kemenhub Bambang Prihartono said, in any country, sports organizing is a momentum. Therefore, we want the momentum of the Asian Games we make changes in movement patterns of people and goods.
Bambang added that traffic engineering management includes even odd rules, open the toll booths, and special routes of athletes and officials. Even odd number is done on non-stick. So, we secure the eight routes the athlete will pass. This applies from 6am to 9pm.
Related to the policy of public transportation provision, Bambang said that the package was given to the people of Indonesia and abroad who will be the audience and supporters.
Bambang added, his side prepared 204 additional buses. Then buses for supporters from neighboring countries, from hotel to venue, hotel to shopping and sightseeing, there are 100 buses from Kemenhub. This is free. Meanwhile, all freight transport is prohibited through the inner city toll road.
Given the Asian Games is an international event, then the central government, in this case the Ministry of Transport through BPTJ participate in the responsibility of the smooth transportation of organizing a grand event at the Asian level.
