Advanced Infrastructure Makes the G20 Event a Success

The G20 event, which will be held in Bali, is fully supported by sophisticated infrastructure from a state-owned company. This support is very much needed to support the smooth running of the event as well as to show that Indonesia has the latest information technology.
The G20 Forum is an international event that brings together leaders from many countries and discuss various important issues, as well as plans for cooperation. Even though it is still a pandemic, the G20 is still being held, even this year’s theme is how to overcome the impact of the pandemic ‘recover together recover stronger’.
As an international meeting held in Indonesia, of course the committee prepares as well as possible, including infrastructure issues in the field of technology. One of the state-owned companies in the telecommunications sector guarantees smooth internet and telephone services during the G20, and has even prepared a 5G signal that can make access to cyberspace faster.
SOE Minister Erick Thohir stated that internet, wifi and data center networks are ready to support the G20 event. The network is not only built in Bali but also in Jakarta and Labuan Bajo. In a sense, the infrastructure network in the field of communication is held in the capital city to support the sherpa meeting as a pre-G20 meeting, while in Labuan Bajo for smooth signaling so that it becomes more widespread.
Minister Erick Thohir added that the readiness of infrastructure in the telecommunications sector was 100 percent. He also praised the BTS 5G mobile combat as a sophisticated device used at the G20 event. When compared to the previous year’s G20 which was held in Italy, the network there is only 3G. This shows that Indonesia is no less sophisticated and should not be shy to show its strengths.
The readiness of the internet network and other infrastructure in the field of technology is very important because this event is held in Bali, so those who want to watch live streaming from Jakarta or other cities will not be disappointed because the signal is intermittent. In addition, if the internet network is good, it will arrive quickly to foreign countries so that many viewers (including non-residents of the G20 participating countries can watch it).
The better the internet network, the more viewers will increase and this can simultaneously promote that in Indonesia an international forum can be held with a very adequate communication infrastructure. So it is hoped that more foreign entrepreneurs will realize that Indonesia is a potential market because it is supported by sophisticated infrastructure, and they are willing to invest.
If there is a good internet network, the G20 event will run smoothly, because this forum was held during a pandemic. During a pandemic, it will greatly minimize contact between people and instead communication is done via gadgets. When the internet signal is good then communication is also smooth.
Especially when there will be representatives of G20 participating countries who can only come virtually because there is an increase in Covid cases in their territory. If there is a good internet network then the online meeting will be smooth.
This refers to the sherpa meeting in Jakarta as a pre-G20 forum which is held in a hybrid way, aka partly online and partly offline, and virtual meetings can be successful if the signal is smooth.
Good communication infrastructure will strengthen the quality of news videos delivered to foreign countries, as well as show the beauty of Bali and its surroundings. It is hoped that this way it will attract more tourists from many countries.
Infrastructure support in the field of technology using the latest equipment will help the G20 forum run smoothly. Later virtual meetings can be held without fear of losing the signal. In addition, coordination will be easier because the internet network is good.
