Ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election, the KPU of Yogyakarta continues to gather input and responses from election participants, namely the Political Party and the Regency and City KPU in order to compile the Anti Hoax Movement Module.
The activity in order to gather discussion material, inventory problems to strategies that must be taken at the same time provide a workshop on Social Media Literacy for Peaceful Elections.
The Chairperson of the DIY Human Resources and Community Participation Division said, through this activity, DIY KPU wanted to get input from the participants regarding strategies to build socialization through social media.
This activity also emphasizes the Election participants to actively campaign on healthy social media.
Shidqi said, so not only is campaigning active on social media, but the content is also healthy and good. This is important so that they are not apathetic about the Election, so that they have a sense of responsiveness.
Shidqi said, the Anti Hoax Movement was held to offset the hoax news. Because according to him, hoax news cannot be eliminated but can be balanced with positive news. He continued, if the account actively produces positive information, the hoax news will automatically be abandoned.
With the compilation of the Anti Hoax Movement Module, it is expected to minimize the hoax news. It also must be balanced with the participation of the community as the main actors in the use of social media to be more selective in receiving the information circulating so that news hoaxes do not easily divide the nation. It is expected that the community through the participation of religious leaders and community leaders to jointly succeed in this democratic party.
