The community must be able to provide the highest support and appreciation in the effort to evacuate the pilot and all victims of the Susi Air plane who were taken hostage by KST Papua some time ago. Great appreciation should be given to all security forces who swiftly immediately gave chase and will take firm action against the terrorists.
Recently there has been a series of terror acts committed by the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST). The terrorist act was even accompanied by the pilot taking hostage and also burning the Susi Air PK-BVY plane which took place in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains Province.
It is known that on Thursday 7 February 2023, the Pilatus Porter P-4 Susi Air aircraft flew from Timika to go to Paro. After landing at 06:15 Eastern Indonesian Time (WIT), it turned out that KST Papua immediately attacked them. The attack was carried out by burning the plane and taking hostage a New Zealand pilot with the full name Philips Max Marthin.
Based on information circulating, the perpetrators of the attack on the Susi Air Pilatus Porter Plane were the Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) operating under the command of Egianus Kogoya. In connection with this incident, the Head of Flight for Kodam VXII / Cenderawasih, Cavalry Colonel Herman Taryaman stated that officers had found that the plane had been engulfed in flames at Paro Airport. Not only was it charred, but the GPS on the Susi Air plane had also been taken running into the forest.
Then, Cavalry Colonel Herman Taryaman emphasized that his party and all levels of the security apparatus consisting of joint personnel from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) ensured that they would continue to try to find pilots and passengers on the plane with the Timika route to to Paro and back to that Timika.
For this incident, he also asked all parties to continue to pray for the safety of all crew members, as well as pilots and search teams who are currently working. Meanwhile, the Head of the Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Mathius D. Fahiri, said that a joint military and police force had indeed been deployed to ascertain the condition of the pilot and 5 (five) other passengers. Even the joint personnel will carry out a sweep at the scene.
On another occasion, the Army Chief of Staff (Kasad), General TNI Dudung Abdurachman said that his party had dispatched troops to Papua to directly handle the terror acts committed by KST. The troops sent were not even half-hearted, namely in the form of elite troops.
TNI General Dudung Abdurachman said that the TNI AD troops who were dispatched to Papua were indeed focused on being able to deal with Separatist and Terrorist Groups in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, which is known to have been the location of KST terror acts recently.
Not only to evacuate the pilots of the Susi Air aircraft, but the Kasad said that the departure of the Indonesian Army troops was carried out specifically to pursue KST Papua who set fire to the Susi Air aircraft at the Paro District Airfield, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains on the day Last Tuesday 7 February 2023.
Firmly he even gave 2 (two) tasks to his personnel, with the target that all of their tasks, namely to carry out the evacuation and pursuit of KST Papua, must be achieved. Even though he firmly stated that he would carry out the pursuit, he also stressed that his party would continue to take a humane approach.
Of course, the lesson is about firmness and also a humanist approach on the other hand, mainly to take action against KST Papua as already in accordance with direct directions from the TNI Commander, TNI Admiral Yudo Margono. Broadly speaking, the concept that is carried out as directed by the TNI Commander is to use an approach that remains persuasive, humane but remains firm towards terrorist perpetrators.
Dudung Abdurachman then also hopes that all the elite troops he sent directly to Papua can carry out their duties as well as possible and continue to be able to protect the people of Cenderawasih Earth from all forms of threats or intimidation from the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist (KST) group.
Indeed, the series of terror acts that have been carried out by KST Papua have not stopped. In fact, not only terror, but they also took the Susi Air pilot hostage and also set fire to the plane. Therefore, the security forces immediately carried out swift operations to evacuate the victims who were taken as hostages as well as pursue and take firm action against the perpetrators of the terrorists, all of which must be highly appreciated.
