The infrastructure built by the government does not only exist in cities, but also in remote areas. The president really listens to the voice of his people in all directions. In Nusa Tenggara, a food barn was built to solve the problem of hunger there, so that there is no more story that there is malnutrition in Indonesia.

Since becoming President of Indonesia in 2014, Mr. Jokowi has become everyone’s favorite. Because the fact is that they can embrace all parties and build a lot of infrastructure, for the sake of Indonesia’s prosperity. The construction is not only carried out on the island of Java, but in other areas such as Southeastern Nusa, so that there is an equal distribution of modernization and poverty alleviation in Indonesia.

Infrastructure that has been completed in East Nusa Tenggara is drilling wells and reservoirs for agricultural irrigation. Drilling wells are used to irrigate the central Sumba area, because there is often drought there. So that it affects rice production. When the water supply is sufficient, it is predicted that rice production will increase, and it is targeted to harvest twice a year, not once a year like before.

When there is an increased harvest target, the community still asks for a new dam in Central Java. If there is a dam, then the water supply will be sufficient. Not only for irrigation in rice fields and gardens, but also for residents’ houses. In addition, the dam also serves to prevent flooding, thus preventing flooded rice fields and crop failure.

Apart from drilling wells and dams, in East Nusa Tenggara there is a food estate project as a rice granary on the island. Development is also being carried out in Sumba, to be precise in the Makata Keri area, Central Sumba district. This granary was inaugurated by the President en Jokowi, at the end of February 2021.

According to the President, the government has prepared 5,000 hectares of land, with details of which 3,000 hectares are planted with rice. While the rest is planted with corn. Meanwhile, the plan is for two times as much land to be cleared next year . So that rice production will increase and solve the problem of food shortages in Southeastern Nusa.

Apart from that, there was also assistance in the form of modern agricultural equipment. So that farmers in Sumba can plant rice more quickly and smoothly. So they work happier, because they no longer use old plows and other traditional tools when farming.

The rice planting area and granary are part of a national strategic project. This project is intended for the welfare of the people. So as to prevent people in Southeastern Nusa, especially the Sumba area, from starvation. Because rice and corn production is predicted to increase, and prevent them from stomach growling when crop failure or lack of food ingredients.

When there is land, drilled wells, dams, agricultural equipment, and other goods, it will also have an impact on the welfare of farmers. Because they will not fail the harvest, instead they experience rice harvests 2 times a year. So that it will double their income and they will be kept away from poverty.

All the people will be grateful to the President, because they have been kept away from the dangers of hunger and poverty. The President carries out the principles of justice for all Indonesian people and has proven his promise to continue to prosper the people.

The success of President Jokowi in providing various infrastructures is commendable, because everything is thought of. Starting from rice and corn fields, drilling wells, prospective dams, to agricultural equipment. And so, in NTT, there is no news about babies and toddlers who are malnourished or people who cannot afford it because of crop failure.

The infrastructure that is built in rural areas also proves that the President is not favoritism in developing a region . Because the Indonesian people are not only in urban areas, but also in rural areas. So that there will be a principle of justice and equitable development throughout Indonesia.
